I have tried every combination of pillows and cushions to stop the discomfort of sitting for long periods at my computer and nothing worked until I tried this one cushion. It's firm enough to keep you supported, yet it yields enough to remain comfortable. No more pain! It does come with a slick cover, but I just put a cotton pillow case over it (I have the 16" size cushion) to solve that problem. I also have a low file cabinet next to my computer desk. I put a cushion on that so I can put my feet up and be totally relaxed while I "compute" the day away ( I do need to get out more for exercise!). This is great product!

Heavy comfortable cushion.

I needed something that was going to soften the blow on my poor backside, as I have to sit at a desk for several hours a day and type transcripts. My "ergonomic" desk chair really skipped out on the cushioning, so I tried memory foam pillows -- which flattened right out and provided little relief. I researched all of the various cushions out there and simply couldn't afford some of the pricey ones with near-five-star reviews, so I gave this one a try. I must say that for under $25, I am amazed at the quality. I didn't realize that air wouldn't "whoosh" out of this thing and it really does feel like gel in there. You can feel it "roll" around when you shift your weight. I must admit that it's been amazing so far! I'm not saying it's like sitting on a cloud (think they're going to have to discover anti-gravity to achieve that), but it's no longer like sitting on a boulder. I'm very, very happy with this cushion and hope it will last me a while.

For some reason it slides out. It won't stay in place in the seat of the wheelchair. The seat is comfy, it would be more comfortable if it would stay in place.

Thickness provides pressure relief and comfort

I was very disappointed in this product. It is extremely heavy and bulky and I am barely able to lift it to put it in the wheelchair. There is no way it is only 12 ounces. Much heavier. Unfortunately I cannot return it. Save yourself the trouble don't buy this one, keep looking.

This seems like a quality seat pad and was comfortable but unfortunately it didn’t fit my mother’s wheelchair. Just a warning, if this cushion doesn’t work for you or your loved one your stuck with it, they don’t except returns.

The cushion is well made, heavy, and high quality. I'm a 235lb man, the gel is very firm and barely gives when I sit on it. The 16x16 cushion is just big enough and I can feel the edges on my butt, wish I had bought the 20x16 instead. The 3" thickness is a bit too much for my office chair. None of this is the fault of the cushion and if I were to buy this product again, I would get a thinner, wider, cushion.
