Mongoose Tyax Comp Adult Mountain Bike, 29-Inch Wheels, Tectonic T2 Aluminum Frame, Rigid Hardtail, Hydraulic Disc Brakes, Mens Large Frame, Orange

For starters I am new to mountain biking. I wanted to get something to get out on, exercise, and hit some trails with some friends. When I received the bike it had a couple of holes in the box. There were some minor scratches to the frame, but they aren't bad. Assembly was pretty easy and straightforward. I would recommend following the user manual. I am pretty impressed so far. This has been a great mid-grade bike to start on. Dig the orange color. Has some nice specs on it. I got a large frame, 29" wheels. I am about 5'11" and it fits great. I did have an issue with the threading on one of the pedals. However, I am working with Mongoose on getting it resolved. I went directly to the manufacturer to handle the issue. Thought it would save me some time.

Esta bicicleta está muy completa por el precio pagado el peso es excelente la forma en la que esta construida es eficiente a la hora de andar en la montaña los materiales excelente solo 2 cosas ...... al ordenarla de un solo cómprale pedales por que los que vienen con ella son de los más económicos que hay y los destruiras en tu segunda o tercer salida ya que son de plástico pero se agradece que los incluyan ya que otras bikes no traen ... lo otro es que no es una bicicleta con capacidades para circuito profesionales en pocas palabras no es para andar saltando en rocas enormes caídas altas pero definitiva mente funciona perfecto en los circuitos medios y ya es a tu opción si quieres esta ho una full suspention

This is an absolutely great bike. I was very surprised how nice it is. Very light and great as it is but I did a few upgrades. I put on different peddles, a dropper post for the seat and tubeless tires. What is really awesome is the bike comes ready for those upgrades. There is internal routing for the cable for the drop post and the rims and tires are tubeless ready. You will love this bike. Just make sure you check all the bolts to make sure they are tight when you put it together. One of my crank arms weren't tight.

Great value for the price. Beautiful bike. Love the orange color. Bike was well-protected inside the shipping box. Partial assembly required. Definitely a two-person job, but not overly difficult. Instructions are ok, but not great. Bike is comfortable to ride. Front shocks do a very good job. I am pleased with my purchase. BTW, I am almost 70.

Worked great on basic single track and dirt trails as is. Modified, adding hybrid tires for paved trails around San Antonio. I'm 6 foot and works great for long rides despite added weight of large frame. A tad overpriced.
