This book is a dream!
It all started with the arrival of 36 views of Mount Fuji in 1830. An incredible burst of creative energy which persisted for the next 6 years saw the arrival of 7 more series. Katsushika Hokusai changed the course of Japanese landscape prints forever in just 6 years! For the first time all those prints are available within 2 covers of a book. Something, I don't expected to see in my lifetime. A solid introduction followed by the prints in chronological order. Each print was discussed in short with time of arrival. All prints were chosen with utmost care and printed in big sizes. Some of those prints were printed in double spread and in a few cases full page details were also provided for better appreciation. This book is printed on acid free papers, so, it's expected to last longer than the usuals. I enjoyed this book thoroughly and expect to spend hours with it in coming months. If you have appreciated the art of Hokusai, particularly his landscapes you can't do without it.Highly recommended.
