Love the pen. Shame the gel refills can’t match the quality. The gel doesn’t flow consistently resulting in disappointing gaps in my handwriting. It happens regardless of pressure.

Love me a good Caran d'Ache pen. My dad buys the limited editions pens throughout the year and gifts them to family. I have several of them and needed black ink for work (rather than the blue they come with). No scratching or smudging. Comfortable writing.

I was recommended this type of refil by a friend and when it works it is really nice and smooth but the problem is it's seems to take a long time to get the ink running smoothly (I've scribbled constantly to get the ink to flow) and even after a while of use it just keeps on stopping and out of frustration I have stopped using them and gone back to the traditional standard bastion refils. I may have been unluck but I'm not buying them again.

Tried these in my Bastion pen and it's ok but the ball stops rolling and it skips a lot on any kind of shiny paper like off brand post-it notes etc.

Bought these, in error really.. I wanted ball point refills, but got gel ones instead. That's fine... But they frequently fail to deliver ink to the page, a fundamental feature of a pen. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
