Great purchase
I bought this a few years ago, it’s been used every day and still makes great shots of espresso. By far better quality than other economically priced espresso machines I’ve tried. Shots pull rich and flavorful with a foamy layer on top, the milk steamer is very easy to use. Easy to clean and I’m overall impressed with its quality and how well it’s held up. Also looks very cute! Highly recommend.

Better than expected
I was not really sure what to expect when purchasing this....this brand is not well known and doesn't have as many reviews as the other more well-known brands. I was pleasantly surprised though at the quality and ease of use for this. espresso comes out really smooth. Buttons are easy to use once you read how to get it all set up. The machine is rather loud and my dog hates the beeping noises but other than that its great. There are some things you can tell were done cheaply but at the same time I believe it is made very well. We shall see how long this lasts. I believe that all things need to be cleaned and taken care of.

Instructions are confusing, but device works fine
This is a review of the Laekerrt 20 Bar Espresso Maker. Overall it is a good machine for the casual coffee drinker such as myself. It lacks some of the niceties of higher-end machines, but I don't miss those too often. Good things: Price is very good. Construction quality of the device is great. It doesn't feel "plasticky" and cheap. Heats up quickly for both espresso and steam function. In under a minute I can make two shots of espresso, and in under two minutes can froth enough milk to make lattes or cappucinos. It's a timed function which may or may not be desirable for others, but works great for me. Press the button (either one or two cups) and it starts up and stops automatically. The steam frother also works quickly though was a bit confusing to get right at first. This is mostly my own fault but the instructions weren't exactly clear. Not so great things: It can do two cups at a time, but there's a small delay as the machine recharges steam. This is about 30s to a minute. So once you pull the shots, it takes a minute before it's ready to froth the milk. No water level warning. The reservoir is pretty small and in the back of the unit so not always obvious if you're running low on water. Instructions are printed on the machine itself, but not actually correct. For example, on the steam function the knob has to be turned to the circle until the steam is recharged. If it's on the steam function, it will just shoot out squirts of hot water until the pressure is enough to force steam out. The instructions don't mention this. There are also instructions on the front of the unit that is pretty well obscured by the filter unit. These instructions talk about "First Use" or if the machine hasn't been used in a long time, but not sure what the difference is between these use cases and normal use. Removing the filter canisters is cumbersome. This may apply if you need to switch different grinds that require different filters. For the most part, I'm using only the 2oz canister. In summary, I am satisfied with the machine. Good price and works for my needs, but it does lack higher-end and convenience features that I've seen before.

Wowser
I have had this for a week so far I know thats not long but I love it already. I will update this in 6 months and let you all know how things are going and if we broke up. I have had a less expensive model from another manufacturer that this is replacing. I can already tell a big difference in the material and construction. This is more of an experienced espresso makers machine not that a novice would not be able to work it. The good points: narrow footprint. Great colors. Holds about a quart of water. Great steamer and hot water maker. Simple controls and great instructions that are easy to read not google translated. ( not that I blame them for that just hard to read). Is it pricey, yes but so is going to the coffee shop everyday plus if you drive there wasting gas and time on that too.

Defective Machine
We unpacked the machine and went through the steps for First Use Preparation. The first thing we noticed was the hot water seemed to come out more as steam vapor than a stream of hot water (it would take forever to fill a cup.) We explored more, tried the steam function. It initially put out some steam, which quickly turned to a vapor so fine it was barely perceivable. Finally we tried the brewing buttons (without coffee in the one cup filter). For both buttons, barely any water came through the funnel (portafilter), but it certainly flowed out of the base of the machine: our counter-top was flooded. We tried all these functions several times with the same results. We assumed this was abnormal and concluded we had a defective machine. We are returning it for a replacement, hopefully with better results. We are replacing a 7 year old Breville, so we have some conception on how a good machine should operate. As a note, there was some moisture in the water tank when we first unpacked it--not sure if that has any bearing. The replacement exchange through Amazon was quick and easy, our replacement machine coming later today. Here's hoping I can write a better review for the next machine.

makes good coffee
First off, my review of this espresso machine may not be completely fair. I had a loving relationship with my Starbucks Barista for 27 years and the Laekerrt only seems good enough. That said, It makes good coffee, with acceptable crema in a timely fashion. I don't usually use the steam function, but when I tried it out, it did deliver nice foam. My problems are peculiar to my taste and they may not be a problem for someone else. I don't like the premeasured shots. I look at the cup and I know when I had enough coffee, With this machine I push the 2 cup button, but after 1 1/2 cups I capture the brown water in another container. Also, the portafilter does not get hot enough, which means a cooler espresso. Lastly, I don't like it, that the machine shuts of after some disuse time. Anyway, all in all it is a good machine for the money.

Excelente precio para su calidad. Solo la he utilizado un par de dias, pero veo muy buena calidad comparada con una mas cara que tuve antes - era de otra marca. Es muy buena eleccion

I have had this for a couple of months, used 3-6 times daily to make espresso. What I love about this machine is that it handles extra fine coffee without complaint. In this sense the machine far exceeds my previous, much pricier Delonghi Dedica 685 which I had for 8 years. That machine, the pump broke down after a month of espresso making, but worked really well after the warranty repair. So when it died I got the current Delonghi version and out of the box it would not push water through fine coffee. Returned that and got the Laekert, which has performed this task reliably ever since. Most of the complaints about this machine that I see on the web are about the steamer. I have never tried it, I find milk ruins espresso. My main complaint is that the Laekert produces wet pucks, which are annoying to deal with and create mess, whereas my old Delonghi always produced a dry puck that knocked out easily. Adding a disk filter to the portafilter helps, so now I get a wet puck that I can knock out but then I have to fish around in the knockbox for the disk and wash it. Overall this is a great machine for espresso, but I would be glad to pay an extra $100 for a identical machine that produced dry pucks.
