Treadmill Mat 6.5'x3' (78"x36") Heavy Duty Fitness Equipment Rubber Mat Black

I purchased this to put under my elliptical machine in my exercise room. It did have a strong smell for the first week or so but has since almost disappeared. I think you have to expect that there will be some smell but it is totally tolerable. The important thing to me is that it provides protection between the elliptical machine and my flooring.

Works good as a computer chair mat!

There was tape residue left on the mat after I unboxed the mat. There's a smell like rubber after unboxing the mat. Needed to air out for 2 weeks.

Easy to cut and store.

Just rolled it out few days ago. So far so good. No complaints. Fits large work out machines like rowing machines. It's quite thin, I'm worried it may not be strong enough for the long run for protecting cherry wood flooring from heavy rowing machine .. but no complaint me yet.

2 weeks later it is still off gassing and it is too cold to open the windows and air out the room. I suppose some other products could be worse.

Evidently I am the unlucky one, because this mat had a big seam through the middle of it. End of one run of rubber, start of another. Looks bad, and a guarantee that's where it will rip. Also, why would they use scotch tape to secure the rolled up mat? When removed, it leaves a sticky residue that is hard to remove. So many other option, sticky tape is not a good solution. Disappointed.

Keep my treadmill in place on the wood floors, looks exactly as pictured. There is a very strong chemically smell that hasn't dissipated since I bought it several months ago. However, now that spring is here I plan on having the windows open and am hoping that will give it a good airing.

Yes it is made of rubber, but it is so thin you might as well be on concrete (that is how it feels). If you want something to prevent you from slipping it works - but if you actually want a mat for cushion from a hard floor than this is not the product for you.
