Really nice quality, larger toe pick
After wearing these skates for about a month, I can now write a review. I love these skates, although I only have rental skates to compare them to, which are absolutely awful and uncomfortable. These skates are good quality, heat moldable, and come in a wide width, which are things I was looking for when buying. Like any skate, these do require breaking in before they become comfortable. I'm a fairly new skater, so I have not done any jumps yet in these. One thing to note is the larger toe pick, which if you're not careful you can trip on. If you're a brand new skater, these may not be for you, as they are a more advanced skate. I chose these because they will last longer than a cheaper skate. Plus, I had a lot of experience skating as a child, so I figured I could get used to an advanced skate more quickly. Regarding sizing, I measured my foot with a tape measure to find my correct size. I generally wear a size 8 in women's shoes, but sometimes a 9, depending on the shoe brand. A size 8 in these skates works well for me. I have wider feet from having kids, so thankfully Jackson offers wide widths. Be careful with the sizing because a skate too big or too small will cause issues when skating. The most important things to know: 1. Be sure to have your blade adjusted on your skate before screwing in the screws. You can safely skate (but no jumping) on the pre-mounted screws. Have your coach look at your feet while skating to see where your blade needs to be adjusted. 2. Always dry your blades and skates after skating to ensure that no rust will build up. It is also good to let them air dry once you get home. 3. DO NOT store your skates with skate guards on them. Only store them with soakers on. Skate guards are only to be used when walking to/from the ice. Hope this helps and happy skating!

Amazing skates. However...
These skates are amazing. They have plenty of support and good quality blades. HOWEVER if you have wide feet like mine, make sure you get a wide size. For me I got an 8 wide which fit perfectly. (8 wide is my street shoe size) Keep in mind: if you are advancing to these skates from say for example a jackson mystique, these WILL fit you a lot differently. I got an 8.5 in the jackson mystique's so I got the same size in these skates, but that was a huge mistake. And I only realized I had gotten the wrong size after I had been skating in them for awhile and got them heat molded, thinking that heat molding them would fix the huge amounts of pain I was feeling in my feet because they were too narrow. So, I will say again, if you have wide feet, I would recommend you get a half size down in a wide from what you wore before. When you try these skates on, they should fit almost perfectly with no gaps in the ankle, no pressure spots, and it should feel like you don't even have to heat mold them when you skate. A little soreness or discomfort when you are skating is fine, but if you are having a lot of pain, you probably got the wrong size. Overall, these skates are amazing, but make sure you get the right size.

Found a wider ice skate!!
I finally found a pair of skates that fit my wide feet! I got the wide size in a 9 which is hard to find anywhere really but Jackson had them and in a wide size that actually fit my foot. When buying these please draw out your foot and do the measurements! Don’t guess. The wide is really a wide boot and may be too wide for a boot that is supposed to fit snugly. I love my new skates though. I even had enough room to put some orthopedic supination correction inserts with some arch support in them! They feel like heaven! I’ve had them heat molded now and they are perfect! Shipping was normal. Neither fast nor slow. Jackson makes a great skate and the Aspire blade is awesome! Probably more than I need right now but it sure does make a difference in how the ice feels. They do say they come sharpened but I had one sharp and one really wonky so needed to have them resharpened before I could get on the ice. They also come with just a few screws in place so you can see if you like the blade placement before you add the rest. Be aware you can do simple things on them like this like striding and basics. But you’ll need the rest of the screws placed to do more than that. But check your blades out before you get them screwed in. You may want something different. Mine were fine though. I live my Jackson’s and I’m sure you will too!

Runs big!
Measurements are pretty accurate from what I can tell. You CANNOT compare these figure skates to street shoes as Jacksons seem to run on the larger side. My last figure skates (SP Teri which I got over 20 years ago!) were a size 6.5, however, they were custom made to fit my feet. Figure skates should fit snugly or else will breakdown quickly and make it harder to jump and spin. I usually wear a 7-7.5 in sneakers (an almost perfect 7 in traditional Converse sneakers) and ended up having to exchange the 6.5W skates for a 6W. I’m between an W and R so I stuck with the wide option. Break in time wasn’t too bad, but I’m only doing single jumps and spins - not attempting any doubles (those days are over!). Blades aren’t the greatest, but you can’t expect much with blades that already come mounted on the skates. Overall, as a returning skater who’s just skating for “funsies”, these skates have been a decent and comfortable option without having to pay a lot of $$$.

best for pond skaters or public skating if unable to rent
about delivered product no instructions for form-fitting - blades very cheap boot thin - Amazon would not provide direct source where it was acquired prior to purchase , if you want figure skates at this price better to go directly to a PSA rated professional instructor-coach at a local ice arena will recommend best options per your level or goals as they are responsible for your success and enjoyment of the sport of figure, ice, precision etc. at any age and level. Do not feel you must only accept limited brands by skate shops - look at youtube’s about mounting & setting blades - breaking in an all brands of quality boots and blades. I like Amazon a lot but in this area I would only purchase if they accepted returns within a 3 month period as you cannot tell if blades are not warped, if boots are not fitted until you pay for ice time and lessons and have a PSA Skating Professional observe whether or not they are the best fit, form, function and safe for you the consumer of all ages. You might also want to learn reason that boots and blades are separate purchases that are mounted by a skate tech. At this price hold off until you verify it’s a good investment
