Works with my BMCC - high enough quality.
I use this SDI to HDMI converter for my BMCC. It works great, and I actually power it straight off my Anker Pro 2 battery that I use for the camera through the USB output. Obviously the cable that with the converter is a AC to DC converter - but I cut off the end and soldered it to the correct "+" and "-" from a male USB cable. I was even able to power both this converter and a Nyrius Prime HDMI wireless output of the Anker Pro 2 usb using a USB hub-splitter. In essense, I was able to wirelessly stream my BMCC feed for under $200.

Great but Occasional Lock Issues
I Have 2 of these and they work really well. I have only one complaint. Sometimes i have to power fail the units sometimes because they will not SDI lock

Can't beat the price! Must Have a few of these in your bag!
Price is right, Not known to last too long when tossed around on job site. Durable and Reliable to a point. Definitely will buy again as the price is great

Don't spend $200-300 for the same thing!
I shopped around for a converter and found several for much more...$280 for the Blackmagic version and this exact item on another site for $149. I was shocked to find this for so little money! Works perfectly out of the box! No need to spend so much money. Be frugal!!

Spend a little more, wait for the availability and buy the Monoprice converters instead.
We ordered 4 of these for our congregation. We used the very best Belden RG6 coax, high quality BNC connectors, SmartTV's to receive media and an excellent Asus computer with powerful graphics engine to play media. Out of the box, only two of these worked. The other two didn't work at all. We even swapped them out with the other two to verify and yes, two of them were not working right out of the box. My biggest problem is that because we weren't able to install the equipment until several weeks after we purchased the converters, we are now past the return deadline and are stuck with two broken and completely unusable converters. $80.00 wasted. Based upon that experience (and based on the other reviews I wish I would have read before purchasing) I am very clearly worried that the other two wont last long and I'll be stuck with 4 broken converters with $160 from Lenkeng. Should have waited on the Monoprice converters to become available as had been recommended. Frustrating.

This is frustrating!!
I've been trying to find an adapter that converts my coaxial cable connection from my wall to an HDMI connection on my flat panel and I've gotten to the point, I can't trust any of the details listed. My coaxial cable from the wall has the little pin in the middle and screws onto the device they are connecting to (usually my coaxial connection on my 10 month old flat panel TV, but the connection on the TV broke). I bought this adapter thinking it would work. My coaxial cable from the wall will not connect to the SDI connection on this adapter. The adapter doesn't allow the cable to screw on. Apparently it is to be just pushed (slipped) on??? Anyway, I'm frustrated. Radio Shack's are gone and Fry's electronics doesn't have any! Where is a girl to get help with this problem other than just buying another TV??!!! Any suggestions on what actual connection I am supposed to be looking for would be helpful. (I scoured Wikipedia, just to learn all the acronyms!!!)

Does the job at a reasonable cost
Works as advertised. Cristal clear picture from SDI-HD camera going to HDMI input on TV. If you just need this function: SDI-HD to HDMI, then try this. Most everything else I looked at on the web was intended for broadcast use and was priced accordingly. There are lots of complaints about converters similar to this but most can be attributed to purchasing a unit intended for a different function. This is a one way device that only does one thing - convert SDI or SDI-HD to HDMI

Great Video but audio dropouts
I just purchased this and the image is perfect looks amazing and was seamless to connect. The only issue that I am encountering is audio dropouts. I have a Samurai Blade from Atomos and have connected it to the converter box and the image has not issues but the audio drops out. I have connected headphones to the Blade and the audio from the box is fine. I think there might be a issue with the converter box with audio. If anyone else has had this issue any information is welcome. Thanks
