I am 6ft tall. 200lbs. very active lifestyle. I bought Medium, Large, & XL. reason I bought 3 sizes is because I like different forms of compression and leg length depending on the sport I am playing. Medium is great for that tighter fit, offering some leg compression, especially if you're wearing a cup and want it to remain securely in place, or if you're NOT wearing a cup and want other things to remain securely in place. Large and XL are equally great, offering just a little bit more movement and breathability for your package. If you're like me and enjoy wearing athletic underwear as your boxer-briefs, these sizes give you a little bit more freedom and comfort. They fit like a dream and are very comfortable for prolonged sporting activities. I wear them for the Softball, Basketball, Dodgeball, Volleyball, & just going to the gym. The padding is very soft and protective for sliding in baseball, hitting the court in volleyball, or getting slapped on the leg in basketball while not being bulky whatsoever. They fit well under tighter business clothes. I have worn them under work pants and the padded weave stitching on the legs was not visible through my slacks. They come to a nice spot above the knee... around mid to lower thigh. The compression is comfortable. not too tight, and not loose at all. Very nice material against the skin. waistband is durable and has not stretched or loosened after several washes and wears. Highly recommended for an active lifestyle. also, I am a big fan of the cup pocket in front. I have two different styles of cup, 1 for baseball and 1 for hockey. the pocket fits both perfectly and keeps the cup fastened in place without discomfort. I don't even know its there. in general the material of the garment is thick and durable.
