Great For Family Games
A great item for Alien fans with easy to understand rule, sometimes you might get stuck with the Alien which put you in a tight situation. Might feels repetitive once you played so many times but still fun as a family games.

Great fun if you're an Alien fan!
In summary, this is a fun game and I've played it several times with one other player. Pros: If you play some of the Alien soundtracks while you're playing, it's creepy! The colors of the game and pieces are similar in style to the movie. There is some randomization to game play, so you can play it several times and it still feels new. The characters you play, movements, and cards help with that. It's "just hard enough" that you feel like it's a little challenging, but we've never not-won the game. I very much like the game is cooperative - it's not players against each other, it's players against the alien (or Ash). Cons: It's a little confusing to learn. There are a lot of rules and it's kinda complicated. But, that's coming from someone who mostly plays Scrabble. There are some ambiguities to the rules, which at this moment I can't exactly remember. But it's clear that the beta testers didn't have enough time to address every scenario. Or, they did it on purpose and left it up to the players to decide in the moment. There are not enough "mission" cards, including the final mission. I feel like if you've played the games maybe 6 times, you've done just about every scenario. It just seems like there could be maybe a half dozen more "achieve this thing" cards to make it playable more often. There are a lot of little pieces that you have to organize when you play. If there was a little cardboard organizer in the base of the box, you could put all the little pieces in there and that would save some table space. Some of the pieces have really small writing on them... says the middle-aged guy who doesn't want to wear his reading glasses. Again, to sum up, it's a fun game. Mostly I just wish it had MORE of it.

1 player board game!! EXCELLENT!!!
Ok, so, I bought it cuz it's a ONE PLAYER board game and it DOES NOT disappoint! I played it twice outta the box in under an hour and that INCLUDES the time I spent reading the instructions. Once I did that there was NO PROBLEMS explaining it to my kid and we played another 2 rounds after that. THIS GAME IS EXCELLENT!! EASY TO LEARN AND EASY TO PLAY. SIMPLE DESIGN AND RULES TO PLAY WITH!!

Great for Alien fans
As an Alien superfan I gotta admit I had low expectations, however this surprisingly turned out to be a GREAT , fun game. Easy to play, difficulty is enough to entertain adults while still being simple enough for my 10 yr old to play. Figures are a pleasure ( when painted) only gripe o have is they should've had an ash figure instead of a cardboard cutout.

Great variation of this series, balanced gameplay
Balance of this version is really fun, the more people the better it is imo.

I have come to really like Ravensburger games
This is my 3rd Ravensburger game and I am IMPRESSED each time by the quality of the components. The manual is nice, the figures are cool, the cardboard is thick, the art is awesome... this is a quality product. Well worth the time and money to pick up and play.

One of my favourite games, as I enjoy the Alien franchise and this can be played solo or with friends. The game is easy to learn but has an adjustable difficulty, when you add the Ash character. There are also solo rules available to download from sites like BGG giving more play options. The miniatures are a soft plastic but well-made and can be painted using acrylic paint, if you wanted to. The cards and tokens are a good quality as well and will last a long time.

I'm an Alien fan in the first place so I bought this for a collection purpose. As much as I avoided "Jurassic Park Danger" because it seemed to have balance issues (I heard that dinosaurs tend to win 4 games on 5), "Alien: Fate of the Nostromo" is a cooperative game. The players team up against the odds and try to win as a group. It can be the great kind of games when some players in your group tend to be better at strategizing, leaving little room for the others to win. It also mean that you can also play solo because you don't need an opponent to play against (and most of those non coop games are usually not even fun only with 2 players but may require 3 or more people to be played at their best). I only played a couple of games solo with 2 or 3 characters in my team. I have to agree that the more characters you have in your team, the harder the game tend to be. I may try with more crew when I'll be fully confident in my knowledge of the rules but it seems already that it's better played with 2 or 3 people at most... and bring more only for extra challenge... throw Ash (optional character) in the pit if you really want to make your crew have the hardest time of their lives! xD As a fan of Alien, everything is about the first movie and I really enjoyed the attention to details. Many little details on the board and rules made me smile. It's really a must have for any fan. I'm only disappointed that my box got damaged during handling as it probably lost a lot of its collector value but Amazon offered a discount to apologize (i thank them very much for their kindness). The overall quality of the game is impressive. Ravensburger are not mainly in the boardgame market. They are a high quality puzzle company more than anything else. With how terrifyingly balanced was "Jurassic Park Danger", I was afraid that "Alien: Fate of the Nostromo" would have some major downsides like rules that don't make sense or don't cover all possible case scenarios (this unfortunately happens way too often with board games). I'm really surprised that so far, rules seemed to cover everything. And for the most subtle questions, most already been asked on the forums of Board Game Geek where the creator of the game himself, Scott Rogers, answered them all. Overall, a great cooperative game that will please most players, especially Alien's fans! The rules are clear and complete, the game is made with the high quality materials that Ravensburger are well known for.. all this paired with more than a decent price, it's really a good choice especially for more beginner/casual players!
