Neat protection that’s easy to apply and barely shows
I’d already tried the wider 100mm version of this tape, but picked up the 50mm roll for narrower tubes and it’s been just as useful. The size makes it easier to work with on places like the top tube or chainstays where a big strip would be awkward. The tape itself feels strong and has a nice thickness that gives confidence it’ll actually stop chips and scratches. Once applied, it’s practically invisible—only shows a faint gloss in the light, so it doesn’t ruin the look of the frame. Application is straightforward. Clean the frame, cut the piece you need, peel and stick. The adhesive grabs well but still gives you a little bit of time to reposition if you’re careful, which helps line it up properly. A quick pass with a hairdryer made it sit flush over the curves, and no bubbles once it was smoothed down. After a few wet and muddy rides, it’s still holding firmly with no edges lifting, so the sticking power seems solid. Protection has been spot on. I’ve had a couple of stones flick up and hit the downtube—tape scuffed, but underneath the paint is untouched. It’s also stopped the annoying marks from cable rub that always show up after a while. For anyone who likes keeping their bike looking clean, this tape adds real peace of mind. The roll length (3m) goes further than you think at this width. I’ve managed to cover all the key areas on one bike and still have plenty left for touch-ups or another frame. Cutting smaller strips also means less waste compared to trimming down the wider version. Only small gripe is the tape can pick up fingerprints on the sticky side if you’re not careful, which show slightly once it’s on the frame. Not a big deal if you take your time, but worth being aware of. Overall, the 50mm tape is a handy size for detailed coverage, sticks well, and does exactly what it’s meant to—protect your bike without making it look wrapped in plastic. Definately recommend pairing it with the wider roll if you want full-frame coverage.

Great tape, if you are willing to take your time and apply it properly.
The tape is great, as long as you cut out the appropriate shapes without right angles (I would recomend cut the pieces in such way that all the corners are rounded), and clean the bike. I followed instructions that I read in one of the other comments, where I cut the tape into right shapes with the protective paper still on, I cleaned the bike with 50:50 solution of isopropanol/water and dired the bike with a dust-free microfibre cloth. Right before the application of the tape I sprayed the frame and the sticky side of the tape with filtered water containing just a drop of washing-up liquid. Water prevents the tape from sticking right away and allows to avoid air bubbles. The tape is pressed with fingers (a piece of cardboard or squeegee also works great) from the centre to the edges, making sure that any air bubbles are pushed to the edges of the tape. The wet edges of the tape may require you to press on them for ca. 5s but they will stick. Once the tape is on, it's really on. I applied it at room temperature, and did not play around with any hairdryers or heat guns. I got absolutely no air bubbles, and you cannot even tell that the tape is on the bike. Really happy with the product. The tape is also reasonably thick, which I really like. The whole application is not quick (takes a few hours), but the results are absolutely great. If you plan to protect most of the frame and the fork, I would definitely recommend to buy at least 3m. Edit: I added two photos of the tape that I applied to the down tube, after two months of constant riding. After two months the nothing is happening to the tape. Still looks absolutely great and does not peel. It already saved my frame from a number of scratches, and already at this point it more than paid for itself in paint work!

If your good with stickers it's good, if your useless it's hard work.
It works, it's quite thick so certainly has substantial protective properties & it sticks well, I'd definitely buy this again for protecting specific areas... But I personally I'm not blessed with the ability to stick things very well so id not attempt to do a whole bike again.... it's not difficult to use but if your not blessed with the ability to stick things well then don't expect this to be an easy process, its thickness is nice but it sticks to itself and creases (heat helps ALOT but once it creases/folds that's it.) I bought 3m - 50mm width which is enough to cover thin areas like chain stay, rear of seattube etc and probably fine on other skinny framed Road bikes but if you have oversized downtubes I'd recommend going for 150-300mm widths else you'll need to line up edges and it'll just not be a quality looking job.

Durable & Good Quality, Requires Patience for the Best Results
I bought the 50mm X 3M roll and ended up buying another one as I wasted a couple of strips getting used to how to best apply it to my bike forks which were fiddly. I've used it as a bike frame protector and I think this film will take pretty much anything that is thrown at it. It's thick and very durable, with excellent adhesion. BUT, note, it's thickness means you need to take csre. Like some of the other reviews here, I recommend you use isopropryl alcohol mixed with water 50/50 and a lint free microfibre cloth to clean all the grease/residue off after washing the surfaces you want to cover. You will get a MUCH better result if you use a hairdryer or heat gun to soften the film, especially if you want it to go over curved surfaces. Once lightly softened, the fils is much easier to work with. Use a craft knife or sharp scissors as it's too thick for anything blunt and you won't get clean edges. Overall, excellent, I hope it performs over the long term.
