I have 2 Indian Runner Ducks. I got them a 300 gallon stock tank as a pool in their kennel. The filters I was using were not very strong. My girlfriend has a stock tank fish pond and uses this product. She recommended it. It works AWESOME! I had some reservations at first, but it really does the trick. Now, due to the amount of duck poop, as they like to sleep in the pond as well, it does need regular cleaning, more than if used with fish I would image. So in my case, once per week is about right. Pretty easy to clean. If I wait 2 weeks, well then it's a lot of muck and poop to clean out. It really does help keep the water clean. I have some other issues to still work on, regarding tannins in the water, and I do have all the require accoutrements, biological additives, chlorine nullifier, gravel and pottery shards in the bottom, etc. So I'm working on that, but that's just a light "beer" coloration. The water is generally clean and muck free for the most part, so I'm very happy with it. In my girlfriend's fish pond, with plenty of little fish (goldfish, arrow fish), her water is truly crystal clear, so it really is an awesome pump and filer.

Best pump I’ve ever had. I usually go through one pump per season. This thing cleared my pond up and kept going.

After struggling with a filter pump we bought a year ago, we bought this one. The water cleared up in a day. The last pump couldn't keep up with the algae at all and we had to clean it weekly. This pump is quiet, attractive and our fish seem to love it also. We live in Florida so the hotter months result in crazy amounts of algae but this thing keeps it crystal clear. Be sure to read the instructions, not because they are helpful but because they are hilariously poorly translated.

I’ve been enjoying fixing up my water garden. I was worried this pump would be too much for my 350 gallon Rubbermaid tank. It’s perfect! Before it was always green from algae. After a few days it was completely clear. Love the adjustable fountain head. It’s extremely easy to clean. After a few weeks it’s keeping the water garden clean & the filters don’t need to be cleaned often. It’s easy to lift out & hose off. Very powerful pump! The fish are enjoying the clear water. The negative is the seller. The UV light doesn’t work. Wrote the seller but no response. Don’t expect help from them. The instructions are a joke & there’s no phone number, email, address or website!

I have a 3,000 gallon pond with over 100 fish. Very prone to algae due to hot weather. So it is hard to find a good stand-alone submersible system that doesn't require a major upgrade to my pond. This filter does a beautiful job of keeping the water crystal clear. It is easy to clean, maintain, and handle. I have owned it for almost six months and I have nothing but good things to say abou it. I used to own the oval shaped brand and it was cumbersome, flimsy, and easy to break. This new one is sturdy and the UV light system is internal (not part of the fountain spicket). I have to clean it about one a week and that seems to be enough. Highly recommend it.

The water circulation from the top filter elements into the filter housing is very poor!!! Water comes through the top element, the lower element barely catches anything. So the biological area gets caked with unfiltered pond crap. The replacement filter elements do not fit properly. The mesh bag holding the biological elements is very thin and cheap. THEY DO NOT OFFER APPROPRIATE REPLACEMENT! After 4 months all the filter parts are fading... and my pond is in the shade. I have a 400 gallon fish/plant pond and this filter can't come close to keeping up!! I highly suggest avoiding all equipment made by this company. This is the third filter of theirs I've had significant issues with. It's just pathetic!!!!

My pond was dirty and when I cleaned the filter 2 times a week it worked great. But when I went out of town for a week I came home and cleaned the filter. Both sponges where very dirty and sucked in towards the center of the filter. When I cleaned them they never regained their original shape and the filter is not keeping the pond clean anymore. I ordered new sponges because I have no other choice since I just bought the filter for this season. I replaced a Lifegard Aquatics All in One filter that I had for 5 years and it still works. I will still use it in the winter without the UV light. I have the same sponges I have always had with the Lifegard filter and they never lost their shape. The only reason I bought this filter is it was cheaper to buy than to replace the UV ballast, sleeve and bulb on my current filter. I believe this is a better filter if they had better quality sponges available. I really like how easy it is to clean. I think if I could get extra filter trays to use 3 sets of sponges it may work better.
