Fantastic Grain Cooker
This cooker is incredibly easy to use and delivers perfect results every time. Rice, quinoa, oats, and other grains come out fluffy and consistent. The presets are convenient, the build quality feels solid, and cleanup is quick. A great addition to any kitchen.

Perfect rice
This rice cooker has completely transformed my cooking routine. It saves me so much time in the kitchen, and the results are perfect every single time. The rice comes out fluffy, evenly cooked, and never mushy. I love that I can set it and forget it—no more standing over the stove or guessing when it’s done. It’s reliable, easy to use, and has quickly become one of my must-have appliances.

The only grain cooker you'll need
I had really resisted getting a ricecooker for the longest time, insiting I could get my "meh" rice to good if I just practiced on the stovetop enough. When I got Iron Chef Morimoto's cookbook and excitedly turned to the rice page where the directions were: 1) Wash the rice. 2) Use the ricecooker like everyone else does. So I finally broke down from the advice of everyone I looked up and finally got this ricecooker and it changed my life. I sound like a paid sponsorship for nutribullet when I talk to people about how much I love this ricecooker. It has never made a bad pot of rice. It is super simple and you simply follow the lined grid on the pot to put your ratio of grain to water in. Simply touch the button for what kind of grain you did and this little thing takes care of it magically like Strega Nona's pasta pot. Super simple, and it just tells you about 10 minutes before your rice is done. The keep warm function is nice if you're not going to eat it right away, and I've had it stay warm for a long time without becoming dry or sticky. Cleanup is a breeze, especially if you just do it right after you're done making the rice. I've never experienced a sticky, gunked-on mess by following their directions. The steam-in basket doesn't work as seamlessly as you would like; usually needing a little bit longer than the suggested steaming times, but still novel and helpful when you just need to steam a few small things to go with your dinner; just don't think you're steaming large portions in the same volume as you can make rice/grains. 100% worth the price and convenience; would highly reccmmend.

Perfect rice with no effort
I purchased this product to just make rice, easy and good. It definitely makes great rice super easy. Plus I am finding out that you can cook Mexican rice, beans and also easy and delicious. I really love it!!! Great purchase. It would be perfect if while cooking the time would display on it but o well not a big issue. It’s compact and can be stored on a small space.

Wish it had bigger steam basket capability
Cooks quinoa better than a saucepan application, but the main thing is the time, I can set it and don't need to return to a boiling pot to check the progress. Unit shuts off automatically when ready. Steaming vegetables, they turn out well, but the only drawback, if I want to steam green beans or asparagus, I have to do it in batches, (3 batches of green beans, 2 batches of asparagus), being the steaming basket only accommodate a certain amount. Still, it steams these vegetables to perfection (long as you set the timer to the proper amount). Overall, very satisfied with the function of the product. I went with Ninja, being I own other Ninja products and like them.

Finally, set it and forget it rice!
Love this thing. I make great rice on the stove but only if it's a cup at a time. Whenever I increase the amount of rice I want to make I either burned it or it was soggy. I like dry rice. This makes so much rice at a time and I don't have to monitor it. I've made a cup up to 3 cups, I believe you can go up to 5 but I haven't tried it yet and honestly I think that would be too much (3 fills up the bowl pretty much). I like that the rice had a warming setting but I usually turn it off and unplug after it's done and thw rice is still how hours later (while still in the machine with the top closed). Other reviews complain about the condensation in the top when you open it. I just use a tea towel to dry the hinge inside as well as the inside top, keep it open for a while to ensure it is dry (not sure if it'll mold). The steaming basket doesn't hold a lot and was a bigger selling point for me but it's just ok. I've used it to make dumplings but just continue to use the stove. I've only used to make rice for fried rice (perfect next day rice but the dame day). Looking forward to trying the other functions. Money well spent. Also only use the rice paddle once but am careful to not scratch the inside.

Love this machine
Just got it and used it 2x so far. Cooked some broccoli following steam and time and it came out perfect. Then tryed out steaming potatoes for mashed potatoes and again followed there time and steam and perfect quick mashed potatoes . So much easier and faster then waiting to boil etc. So so far I am loving this cooker. The only con but not am issue is where it hinges after steaming it drips and just take a paper towel and wipe. I wish the inner top would come out to cleannlike most rice cookers. Nice user booklet very easy to read and informative. Nice colorful recipe book. Most appliances don't come with these anymore so you gotta figure out or google it or YouTube it. So today so far loving it. Update Aug 2025..I love this cooker. Usevutvdaily. It cooks everything. Don't listen to neg reviews..especially that it scratches and peels..bs.. had this since Nov 2024 and looks brand new. I dont follow instructions..I use measurements on box of food. If you use it you will love it.

After two successful uses the machine started to work weird .. when cooking rice the water was overflowing and leaking trough the top stem hole ( even thought I triple checked the quantity of rice and water ) As you can see on the picture there is a dent ( shape of a bean) I’ve just discovered after cooking quinoa - proving that heating element was melting and overheating …. Very sad for spending 200 pounds on this product and not getting good results . Money down the toilet .

Summary: What I like: cooks quinoa well What I don't like: Omission of critical cooking information Details: This is an ambitious product trying to be many things to many people. It is well-designed, and for the most part works as advertised. Being a quinoa fan and having had my share of disasters trying to cook quinoa in a conventional rice cooker, I was delighted to find somebody actually has made a cooker designed for quinoa. That said, know that work-arounds are necessary because of omitted information. For instance, the measuring plastic cup which is included with the cooker is neither marked for its capacity nor does the user manual list its capacity. I measured it at exactly ¾ cup (midway between 150ml and 175ml). A standard kitchen measuring cup (Amazon carries them) is the required work-around. It is necessary because you will have to use it not only to measure the grain (rice, barley, quinoa, etc) to be put in the cooker but also to measure the water you have to add to the cooker to cook the grain. It turns out the water:grain ratio is critical. So measure it, and get it right. That's the easy work-around. The tricky work-around is figuring out the information left out of the user manual (my cooker came with both French and English versions). As far as it goes, the English user manual is a well-thought out and detailed explanation about how to use this complicated device. RTFM (Read The Friendly Manual). This is *mandatory*. You're inviting a kitchen disaster if you don't read it. This cooker is that complicated. The included Recipe Guide can be skipped by kitchen-savvy people, but it would be helpful to the newbie. Even having read the manual several times, I was left scratching my head. How does one set the cooking time? The manual simply does not say, even though it does offer an **extraordinarily detailed** spread sheet listing the multitude of cooking times required for various grains. Huh? And just how does one adjust these cooking times? White quinoa, for instance, cooks faster than red quinoa. No differentiation for that exists in the manual. While the manual does mention in passing that the cooker sets its cooking time automatically, what the manual does not do is indicate how this cooking time can be changed. The workaround is buried in an easy-to-miss obscure entry in the over-sized spread sheet. If one looks carefully there's the clue. The water:grain ratio is listed for each grain. A-ha. It's complicated and certainly not intuitive but it turns out that by increasing the amount of water in that water:grain ratio, the cooking time is automatically increased. And while the manual does not say this (more omitted information), the quinoa water:grain ratio listed in the spread sheet is for white quinoa only. To satisfactorily cook red quinoa, I had to add more water. I used additional 50ml increments of water for each cooked up batch to raise the water:quinoa ratio until I found a red quinoa cooking time that suited my taste. Presumably this could also be done for other grains which need longer cooking times. Given the lengthy and careful detail in the rest of the manual, I was not only surprised but disappointed this easy manipulation of the water:grain ratio to change cooking time simply was not mentioned or even hinted at. I had to discover it by cooking experience. I'm still in early days. There may well be more undocumented features hidden in this device. Steaming vegetables is also listed as a feature, but I'd be more inclined to call it a perk. While it's technically possible to cook grain and steam veggies at the same time, it's not something I would try given the conflicting cooking times for grains and veggies. I cook them separately. While certainly steaming veggies can be done with this cooker, that is not the reason to buy this cooker. This device's strength is cooking various kinds of grains. All of the above said, my quinoa does now cook very nicely. Just be sure to RTFM. And realize it is also necessary to experiment with this cooker's complexity.

THIS DEVICE IS NOT UK COMPATIBLE. It is rated at 100V and for the US & Canadian markets. Shocking that a product which is incompatible with the UK 220V rating is allowed to be sold on the UK Amazon site and especially as there is nothing in the description showing this discrepancy either. Buy at your peril if in the UK ... a return will cost you +/- £45 as the supplier doesn't provide a free return service and it has to be sent to Las Vegas. Highly disappointed and VERY annoyed !!

Probably the best appliance I have purchased to date. It cooks rice perfectly and effortlessly every time. No more watery or burned rice.
