EXCELLENT CHICKPEAS!!!!!!!
These are the best chickpeas, super great flavor. I soak these overnight and cook them with some kombu for 35 minutes in my instapot. They have good color and no bad or smelly ones yet and no rocks or dirt. Will definitely buy again!!!!!

Chickpeas are good
Good chickpeas, these come in a beautiful bag and are dried out so you can just hydrate em in water and cook em the next day. You can also alternatively put them into a pressure cooker on high with water for 30 min to instantly cook them from dry. If you like having a good pantry stable thats also pretty healthy, this is a great choice Add some oil, agave/honey, salt, pepper, and some lemon juice before roasting them and its a great side dish

Best chickpeas ever
Best Chickpeas ever. Plump up well over night - seem to be fresher than most. Cook up in less than a hour. Fragrant, silky, great tasting, Large bean - they have a thick soft membrane that is easily removed if needed. Keep up the amazing work Palouse Farms!

Delicious, but be careful of debris.
I love chickpeas, and for the first time, ordered the Palouse brand. I love the burlap bag, the fact that its grown in the US, and that I could get it in bulk at a reasonable price. What I didn't love is discovering a little rock in my bag, but I they tell you to sort through the chickpeas to avoid the possibility of finding debris in your bag, anyway, so... It was a good thing that I noticed this, or I would have definitely lost a tooth! Onto the good stuff. These chickpeas cooked to a really creamy consistency, and much quicker than store-bought chickpeas. My method is to use the "quick soak" method of adding two cups of chickpeas to a large pot, cooking on high heat, allowing them to boil for a minute, then turning off the heat, adding the lid, and letting it sit covered for an hour. Then I drain the chickpeas, refill with water, and cook on simmer. Usually the store-bought chickpeas take another 3-4 hours to cook to the tender consistency I like. These take more like 2-3 hours. Since I love to frequently air fry chickpeas for snacks and not just use them in salads or with veggies, I eat chickpeas a lot and appreciate having so much on hand. But since I DO eat them a lot, a 5lb bag lasted me less than 3 weeks. So I'm going to be ordering the 25 lb bag, which costs less per lb, anyway, over the 5 lb bag. Great chickpeas. Just watch out for them pebbles. ;)

Great for Falafel!
You're probably here because you read a recipe for Falafel, and want to make it WITHOUT flour, and dried chickpeas (garbanzos) were recommended. This is 100% and factual. Let's start with the bag - it really does come in a burlap sack. Yes, it's cool. Like you, I don't know what I'll use it for, later, but, I'm keeping it, anyway. The Beans: Well, unless you WANT to get a molar or two cracked, and then subsequently yanked and replaced and you REALLY like your dentist (or find the hygienists attractive, too) you don't don't wanna go chomping on these as a snack. When it comes to your teeth, stay stock, stay happy. You're gonna want to soak these.. Like, overnight, at least. By then, they'll be... Workable. Don't expect them to be as soft as canned garbanzos. That might take TWO days, and ain't nobody got time fo' dat. I'm hungry. Once soaked and then dried, you'll wanna have a strong food processor or blender, and then proceed with your falafel recipe. The thing about the dried version, here, and what makes these really shine for Falafel, is that, unlike canned garbanzos, they won't disintereste in the oil when you drop it in to fry 'em. Seriously, they stay put, and you get a real tasty result, without the cakey-ness of adding flour to the canned version. With some more conscious preparation methods, these can be made a bit healthier, as they're pretty high in protein and being dried, they're a great emergency food to have in your pantry, especially for how thing are looking, at the moment.. On that note, with the high protein content, you're gonna get a decent dose of the ol' L-Tryptophan, which, if you remember literally any Thanksgiving, is what's in turkey that makes us sleepy. Combine that with the pita you're likely to serve this with, and, well.. Carb coma. Nighty Night... The dishes will still be dirty in the morning, you can do them, then.

Higj quality
These are big, beautiful chickpeas. They are super clean, and appear very fresh. I have never found any dirt or rocks. They cook up beautifully and taste wonderful. The best buy date is 31 months in the future. Plenty of time for me to get through this last order of 18 pounds. I buy in bulk and use them primarily for hummus. I do occasionally make roasted chickpeas, or eat them on a salad too. Sometimes I just eat them plain as a snack. I had a question about my order, and their customer service was prompt and courteous. This is my go-to brand. I would have no problem recommending this brand to anyone looking for dried chickpeas.
