I'm in my early 60's and take MitQ to improve mitochondrial function as it has been shown in studies to he first molecule specifically designed to decrease mitochondrial oxidative damage to have undergone clinical trials in humans.We used to have a small farm in Kentucky. My philosophy was to keep the pastures healthy by thinking in terms of raising earthworms. If they were healthy, the plants would be healthy and so would our horses and cattle. When eating, I think in terns of keeping the mitochondria and the microbiome (bacteria and virus etc that live in your gut and other places) healthy as well.Since MitoQ is very expensive, I take it along with other forms of Coq10 plus additional nutrients that benefit the mitochondria such as alpha lipoic acid, aceytl-l-carnitine, melatonin, vit-C, vit-E complex to include tocotrienols, resveratrol, etc. Plus I try to stay with a Mediterranean-based diet.A couple of months ago, I was able to ride a stationary bike for 30 minute at 21 miles/hr and 60 minutes at 20 miles/hr but developed a patellofemoral issue so stopped riding for a couple of months and started working on leg strengthening with a focus on the VMO. My knees are better now but I've been very low on supplements and find I can not even come close to my previous level of activity. Need to re-supply.I hope that helps.
