Lubricates better than the finest oils I have worked with!
Yes I bought it for its primary purpose and yes I have taken knives with this or a carborundum razor stone to White literally shaving razor sharpness. But strictly has an oil it is the finest lubricant I have ever worked with. How's an example, leg extension exercise device always squeaked and ran rough for the past 30 years. Four drops of this and I can't feel the movement of the steel against steel!

Best I've ever used
I've tried several different brands of honing oil/fluid and most all of them require a lot of reapplication throughout the honing process. I won't mention any specific brands but some of them dry up about as quick as water. This Norton honing oil only requires enough to just cover the surface and it lasts for the entire session. I have yet to have to reapply. It might be a couple dollars more but definitely worth every penny.

Sharpening Oil -does what it should
If you have an oil stone you need this. If you don't you don't. And no you shouldn't use it on a water stone. It's a very high quality light oil that I also use for other, well oiling things. Price is okay. Brand has credibility.

My sharpening corner just got a serious upgrade.
Snagged this Norton Knife Sharpener Stone Oil – gotta keep the whole kit locked and loaded, ya know? This 4.5 oz can is gonna be clutch for keepin' my stones smooth and ready to rock. It's in a cool little tin can, which is kinda old-school and dig it. Plus, it's made in Mexico, represent! Haven't actually slicked up my stones with it yet, but you just know this is the good stuff to get that proper edge. If you're serious about keepin' your blades sharp and your sharpening game strong, you gotta have the right oil. This Norton stuff looks like it's gonna do the trick. Can't be caught slippin' with dull tools, feel me? This oil's a must-have for the serious sharpener. This is my second purchase of this oil.
