For starters, while driving it around i hear no added noise and the unit functions very well. I havent had a bad storm yet to see how much water it lets in but there doesnt look to be too much space for water to flow in at a high rate. Still, i have a previously bought waterproof bag in the back to help fill the storage area. Install was pretty easy and just took some figuring out since the instructions could have been better. Simply putting the pieces together is easy enough to see how they fit. My only negative to this case design is that i had to reinstall the felt side liners for the bottom brackets to fit properly or choose to cut up the plastic trimmings at the back near the bed door for the brackets to sit flush. I have no desire to have felt in my vehicle as it gets nasty/smelly whenever wet but thats a personal change ill have to figure out to fill the gaps. Id still for sure recommend this unit and brand as the material feels to be good material, fits the trunk well, is a great cheaper option, and looks great in my opinion.

Sturdy construction overall but rattles like h*ll. I have used foam strips and plastic spacers but cannot get it to stop rattling at every bump.

This is a fantastic product. It was exactly what I needed, keeps my stuff safe and secure while I work/play. Its sturdy and provides plenty of space. It came early, which I needed because I bought it for work. My ONLY reason it didnt get 5 stars is because the assembly directions were absolutely horrible and I have put alot of pre-fab items together over the years. The pictures were super small and the directions were not specific at all. The online version was easier to see but did not provide further explanation. I had to use alot of logic to fill in the gaps. Overall though, price was great for the product, it came early and it was everything I needed. Very happy! Just improve the step by step directions.

First of all, I want to say the customer service and communication is fantastic. Secondly, this is exactly what I was looking for. I run my jeep with the roof off for the majority of the time, and needed something to secure items in the rear. The installation is solid, no noises or rattles. The instructions are a little confusing at times, but common sense helps. Something to note: there is a gap meant to accommodate the roof being on, so I added my own spacers. Just be aware.

I compared this to a similar Tuffy product. The Hooke box is $180 less, and you get thicker 14 gauge steel (instead of thinner 16), better arms, with better hardware, and the "wing" pieces for the sides (around the rollbar) that really give it a finished look. And you don't have to alter anything to keep it from rattling. I did need two more nylon lock nuts, but had them on hand. I installed it myself in about two hours (did I mention that I'm a 57 yr old beach broad?). I did need a second set of hands to hold the very sturdy lid in place while I secured the hardware. (I added the vinyl diamond plate.) I drive a 2020 JL without the subwoofer, and it fits like a dream. I have not put the soft top down yet to see how it rides. If you just run topless, it won't matter. I'm glad I took a chance on an unrated product!

As you can see in the pictures, this enclosure requires extensive modification in order to make it fit in a JL Wrangler that has the factory subwoofer. The biggest challenge is the body panel sits out about an extra inch than a regular panel. This requires offsetting the top of the passenger panel by an inch so that there is still enough width for the lid to fit. Once you cut out the corner on the back panel, you lose a lot of the structural support so I welded some 1" angle iron in the new contour and I welded the passenger and rear panels together for added strength. Once you do the proper cutouts and reinforcement you need to constantly fit pieces back together and check clearances. I used sticky weather stripping to keep the panels from scuffing the plastic body panels. Once repainted and ready to install I found the cargo tie down mounts protruded over the under floor cargo cover and that required more trimming and new bolt holes to be drilled. Once installed it works really well and doesn't seem to interfere much with the sound of the subwoofer. For the amount of time required to re-fabricate this product you may be better off spending extra money for one that is compatible.

Product arrived damaged. It was packaged incredibly well but the box did not have any damage and the paint was scratched, so I suspect it was shipped in this condition. There were we no punctures to the box or bubble wrap. Instructions are by far the worst I've ever experienced on any product. It's not hard to construct but it's certainly a figure it out on your own install. Good quality metal but it could have been designed better and the QC is lacking. I also suspect the paint won't hold up well after 1-2 seasons in the sun.

Does not fit 2024 JL. Hope this helps someone before ordering. My fault completely for not fully reading that and the return policy, The seller was helpful in the end offered a small discount to keep the item and sell locally. You cannot just return this item to amazon return center, first time I have encountered that. You have to pay shipping back AND restocking fee they will decided when they get product back. Steer clear if you have a 2024 model year
