Q: How much surface space is required for mounting? the pictures do not show the distance between the l-shaped bracket and the handle feet.

About 10 inches. I mounted on a dock with 7 inch boards. The handles mount midway into the second board. It is fairly compact.

Q: Will this ladder work on a a '2005 skeeter sx200 bass boat?

You would have to measure the attachment location I will say this a awesome ladder for the price.

Q: My item did not come with instructions . Is there anywhere that I can go to find this manual ? What size bolts are needed ?

when I installed mine I used 2"bolts 1/4"-20 stainless steel bolts. These can be purchased at any Home Depot, Menards or even your local hardware store. It's very easy to install just set the flat bolt holes on your surface slide it back until the two angle brackets are tight. Drill your holes then place the bolts into the holes and tighten. This is the best ladder we have ever had on our pontoon and we moved the location from the back to the front center of our deck and WOW, what a difference.

The best dock ladder!!

This is a very good dock ladder!!My problem is that I was told it was delivered on July 9th, and it was not; it arrived on July 23rd.This was after I had received a complete refund and after I had ordered a different (aluminum) ladder.I want to keep the stainless steel ladder (and pay for it).Then I want to return the aluminum ladder for a refund!!HOW DO ACHIEVE THIS???

Nice and easy to install.

Nice and easy to install. I do expect to replace the wood screws with nuts and bolts in the future as you do exert a lot of pressure on the wood screws. But the quality of the ladder overall is very nice.

Great Ladder

I purchased this for my boat as the original was lost during transit from Florida to Texas. The ladder was easy to install and is very sturdy. There are four steps which telescope to the desired length for boarding at the dock or from the water. There are two very sturdy hand rails to assist in boarding also. Good product.
