Easy to attach and bright.
The Cateye 300 Viz Rear Light is an easy to attach bike light that offers more than enough flashing or solid modes to suit most needs. I've had and used similar 'generic' products of this type before which have been good too, however, I needed a new one and plumped for this Cateye branded one this time and it seems to be well made. The Cateye 300 Viz Rear Light is very bright - but I would suggest that either of the cheaper (slightly less bright) 100 or 150 lumens versions of this light would also make very effective rear bike lights too! The light is of course rechargeable and it comes supplied with a charging cable, although it's perhaps the shortest recharging cable in the world at about 2" long.

Absolutely a great bit of kit!
Great cycle light, it’s all you need, very bright! Great value for money. No issues with it whatsoever 👍🏽

Cost effective solution.
Bought this to replace an older but more expensive Bontrager rear light that had given up after several years of use. Was unsure at first if going for a cheaper model was the best idea, but needn’t have worried! The light is brilliant - really clear on dark morning commutes and when visibility is reduced. It is a bit fiddly to take on and off to charge, but for the amount you need to do this it is a fair trade off. So far it has stood up well to wet weather - no issues with leaks. Construction seems bomb proof too, so no concerns that sections will wear out over time.

Flash! Ah-ahhhh!
Does a grand job of advertising your presence to approaching vehicles with its numerous highly visible flashing patterns. I mount mine on my seatpost and tend to stick with the steady flash mode. I ride in all weather on and off road and it seems pretty good at keeping the rain out so far. Unclipping it to recharge via the USB port is easy enough and it goes for weeks (riding for 2-3 hours, 3 or 4 times a week) between charges. Wish the charging port was USB-C instead of the older Micro USB, but that’s a minor gripe.

Be seen!
This is by far the brightest rear light I have, especially on the final flashing mode. Recharges via USB. Appears well built and the bracket it comes with is so easy to fix and swap between bikes. Can be mounted horizontal or vertical. I can't comment on battery life as only done a short ride (60 mins). Great product and great value at £20. The RRP of £40 seems expensive!

Bright light decent for night riding
Easily fits to your seat post and is quite bright, its perfect for night riding. The daylight hyperflash mode looks seizure inducing though

Excellent rear light
I have a number of Cateye lights and computers, and this unit is of the usual high quality that I've come to expect of Cateye. A good range of lighting modes/options, although I tend to stick to the same one whenever I ride. I do pair this with a second rear light, and I'm reasonably confident that I'm visible to other road users when I ride. I typically ride during daylight hours, although occasionally I do ride at night. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this light to other cyclists. One area to note is the necessity to ensue that the rubber strap is properly secured/engaged. I've heard some riders complain that they have lost lights that have popped off mid-ride, but in three years I've not had any such mishaps.

Only worked fir 7 months
I bought this rear bike light just seven months ago. It requires replacement batteries. The light initially worked well but has now stopped working despite replacing with new batteries. In conclusion, a poor quality product that lasted less than seven months. I strongly suggest you do not buy this.

Luz de sinalização de qualidade excelente! Tem uma autonomia incrível, tem vários modos de sinalização e é visível a muitos metros de distância. Adapta-se bem ao espigão da bicicleta! Sem dúvida a melhor luz que já tive até agora!

I now understand why the Cateye VIZ300 is not (yet) formally certified to be used on a bike on German roads - because it's just really bright, in particular in those two 'flash' modes...absolutely amazing! Perfect visibility for traffic users around you - nobody can say they haven't seen you.
