If you don't have an expensive electric cooker, this very affordable bag with spices is THE way to make pot roast. The veggies and beef cooking together in the bag lend their flavors with the excellent seasonings in the bag, and the results are always 100% delicious as long as you follow the directions and buy a cut of beef meant for pot roast.

Hard to find this product in stores, so I was glad to find it online. It's a bit pricey, but the seasoning for roasts is excellent.

I used to use these all the time and got away from it. If you have 2-3 pound pot roast you can cook it in the oven for couple hours and it is done. One thing I do is apparently not required but the old bags had you place a teaspoon of flour in the bag and shake it well before adding your meat and seasoning to keep the roast from sticking to the bag. The seasoning for pot roasts and pork chops is great (I think) but your experience may be different.

I have bought this item many times from supermarkets. The price on Amazon is more reasonable. Bag and season for pot roast can be used for beef and chicken. Easy to use. You can also add vegetables to the bag before you put it in the oven. There is no mess. Nothing to clean up. It can be used with aluminum foil containers or regular oven safe containers. It is a bit salty but the food comes out tasty.
