Your child’s teacher will be so happy if you buy these. Yes they may be a little more expensive than the off brand but they are the best. As a teacher I can tell you there truly is a difference. They are easier to sharpen and to erase. They don’t leave a pink mark on your paper when erasing. Worth every penny.

When I was a young lad, we couldn't afford much, and I always had generic, low-quality pencils. What a happy day it was when I found even a couple inches of a coveted Dixon Ticonderoga! Because of those days, when I or anyone in my family needs a pencil, I won't let them or myself settle for anything less than the finest of wooden pencils, the Dixon Ticonderoga. It features fine, strong, consistent graphite, excellent wood which does not splinter when sharpening, nor fracture the graphite. They write in a smooth, dark, consistent line and erase well. I write with them, draw with them, you can even dial an old rotary phone with them, if you have one. The classic yellow Dixon Ticonderoga pencil is simply the world's finest pencil in all ways. It has never disappointed me, and it will not disappoint you.

Excellent pencils. Would recommend them.

By trade I am a carpenter, these pencils are the ones I like the best for work. They have a long life, the lead is firm and strong and I like the color as it stands out should I drop it. I now have about 500 of them and feel compelled to order more. :)

These are the best pencils. They last way longer than other big name pencils and they don’t break very easily. I am a teacher, so pencils that are constantly breaking can drive you nuts, especially when you have to listen to the pencil sharpener go all day long.
