TL;DR was good, completely dead and unusable before first battery change, not waterproof in rain EDIT: so after cleaning the batteries it worked when i put back on bike, but now it has the same issue as before, really weird chirping when locked that is constant, all because the gasket was installed incorrectly, and it let water in worked great but 10 months later it stopped working, i took apart to replace batteries and it would seem as though water got to the cells... the battery terminals are corroded too... , it would seem as though one of the rubber gaskets was incorrectly installed from factory
