Great package deal on a mask and snorkel, I got the 4100 black set. I especially like the carying case that the package came with (didn’t know it came with one, so bonus). The snorkels also of good quality and design, it’s comparable to other high end dry snorkels marketed for divers (hey can be 25-60 $ alone) it also has the quick release retainer clip. On first fit, the mask didn’t seal to my face perfectly, this is always going to vary between masks, which is why it’s important to try a bit before you buy, still with the price point of the combo you don’t have much to loose in trying it. It still a nice looking single frame mask. I will post an update once I get a chance to defog and dive with the mask. *note you must always defog new masks by either scrubbing away or burning away the silicone that adhears to the lens during the molding process, otherwise it will always fog no matter what. Be sure to google and research the different methods.

You are going to be hard pressed to find a cheaper mask with better quality than this one. Though the mask is definitely not perfect, for the price I still give it 5 stars. The good: It has a smaller volume, which makes it much easier to clear than one that is oversized. The clasp holding the strap is easy to release, but also holds very nicely. This helps the mask to stay nicely in place until you are in the water. It seems to fit a variety of faces, however if you have a narrow face it might not seal as great as you want. The bad: The skirting, while somewhat pliable, is quite thick. This caused a bit of discomfort after wearing the mask for a while. The weight is also a bit heavier than some of the more premium masks on the market. Which might have led to some of the discomfort over lengthier sessions. Overall, this is a nice mask for a beginner. For the price, I feel it is a great mask as a backup.

This review is for the Black, 4100 snorkel mask. I ordered this mask as a replacement for one that my 11 year old son recently lost on a dive trip. Since he managed to lose an expensive one I figured it would make more sense for me to buy a less expensive one this time around in case he loses another one. After some research I decided that this one would be a good one to try. It definitely looks as good as the pricier masks that we own but at a fraction of the cost. When it arrived, I had my son try it on to make sure the fit was good and it appears to fit him well. It seemed a little big on his face but he said it was comfortable. It also fits my (female) face comfortably. My husband tried it on and he said it fit decently but wasn’t as good on the nose as some of his other masks are. It may be worth noting that he has a pretty big nose :) The mask definitely fogs up when first taken out of the packaging but this is normal for any good mask that we have ever owned. We always use either toothpaste or Soft Scrub (not the gel formula) on the inside glass to keep the fogging issue under control. Sometimes you have to do this a couple of times initially and then periodically after using it a few times. I didn’t have any Soft Scrub (which is what I prefer) so I used toothpaste on the inside of the mask. I let it sit on the glass for a minute or so after rubbing it in. Then, I rinse it off with warm water. If the mask still clogs up then repeat these steps one more time. I had to do this twice but the mask is doing good now and it is is very comfortable with the way it fits. For the price, this is a much better quality mask than I was expecting it to be. My son will use this primarily for scuba diving but he did use it this past week for snorkeling during a beach trip. I am including some pictures. Two pictures are comparing this mask with a couple of other, more expensive masks that we have. One is a Halcyon mask and the other is a Hollis mask. As you can see, this mask is very comparable to the other two masks. The last two pictures show how this fits my 11 year old son’s face and how well the fogging issue is taken care of after recent use at the beach.
