Omg this product is not only absolutely gorgeous, but it has such a heavenly, earthy smell. Makes you feel like you've been transported straight to Japan ♡♡♡ It is so well made! Perfect for sesame seed grounds.

Very nicely made. As a handmade feel to it. Nice colouring. Works as one would expect a Suribachi to work. Happy I got it.

I wanted to get one to mash garlic before adding vinegar, oil and aromatics for salad dressing. Also, I make a LOT of pestos. I never leave reviews but this is perfect. The matte black is beautiful and functional, actually worth the price!

This is a much better Japanese mortar than the little one I’d bought at a local store. It’s a good-sized bowl that gives sufficient space to really pulverized a decent quantity of toasted sesame seeds. It’s made in Japan and is high quality.
