It appears to be a good heavy duty anchor, but the Astro pneumatic 1442 nut thread setting tool, advertised with the anchor, does not set the anchor. The anchor shank is too long for the tool to catch. Luckily, the Astro tool came with 8 shorter anchors in it's kit. But, now I don't know what tool I need to operate these anchors... And this tool kit was 70 bucks!

Used to secure a ~4gal tank to a 1/4” aluminum deck. If you have access to the backside set with (2) nuts and bolt. Thread a nut onto the bolt, thread the bolt through the rivet, drop it through the hole, use the last nut on the end of the bolt to lock the rivet in place on the bolt so it won’t spin. Hold the bolt to keep in place and spin the top nut to pull the bolt up setting the rivet. If installing blind consider an impact wrench and a well lined bolt. Impact force (actually creates less torsional force) should minimize spin of rivet just watch the force.

Used these extensively in my van build. I suggest you use a good tool- the DIY approach can be time consuming. Normal rivnut tools do not work- you need the longer mandrel. If there was a drill attachment - i would love to use that.

Did a great job where the standard rivet nuts failed. The expanding wings behind the fiberglass material of my trailer lid enabled a solid attachment of the large hinges.
