Hymns and Wedding Music for All Harps | Multi-Level Harp Solo Sheet Music Collection with Easy and Advanced Arrangements | Sacred and Jewish Songs for ... (Sylvia Woods Multi-Level Harp Books) Review: Great, simple versions of familiar hymns and wedding music! - I'm so impressed with Sylvia Woods! She's done what I wish I could have. The arrangements are interesting, keep the chordal and rythmic changes that make those hymns sound so good, but simplifies and "harpifies" them to make them easy to read. She also has an easy and more advanced version of each......which is great for situations where your harp doesn't have all the high notes. I will sometimes switch to an embellished "easy" version, so I can play it on the lap harp. She's included guitar chords, which is great for playing with others, or for easily adding your own embellishments Review: All Hail Sylvia Woods! - True to it's title: Songs listed have two versions- A being beginner level, B being advanced level. Beautifully arranged hymn music with evident traces of what makes it easier vs harder. Inclusion of all verses for hymns as well, so if you want to do a vocal duet or sing as you play that's an option. At the very end there's the behemoth Ave Maria (boss level!) and there's a split score for that to have a duet with a different instrument if you so desire. One thing: I already know a lot about music. I'm a pianist who just recently started taking up playing the harp, so this isn't a tough playthrough for me. For someone who doesn't know how to read rhythms or notes, I wouldn't recommend unless they were taking music lessons with a teacher to help guide/accompany. This is worth every penny. Bravo, Sylvia Woods.

Perfect for beginners
I started playing the harp about five months ago and I decided to try the easy version of Abide With Me and can actually start playing the song! I still have a ways to go before I'm smooth and achieve a more excellent sound, but I'm thrilled I can read and play the notes. I like that it gives you tips on which fingers to use for playing different parts. For me that helps ensure I'm playing in a more professional way, especially since I'm a beginner in learning my fingering. There is a good variety for the selection of songs that will appeal to everyone and can come in handy for any occasion.

Great book!
I absolutely love this book! Each song is presented in two ways; one easier then the other. These are familiar and very playable. I highly recommend this book!

Classics, perfect for events
This book is so great for funerals and visitations. They are simple enough to add any improvision to it as well. Can't wait to start playing some of these at events soon!

This product gets one star because there are only four "wedding songs". The rest are hymns and religious songs designed for church performance. Transcriptions are versatile but not suitable for all harps. I wouldn't recommend this book unless you intend to perform at church gatherings or enjoy playing hymns and religious music.
