Seems to work well. Why do they make us buy the black? Not to many people have black hair to cover. The brown works for me and I gave the black one to a friend.

Warning! Black+Coffee Is Not Black At All
I have black hair and when I used the color is brown and no where near black, False Advertising. I would not recommend this JOYOUS Color: 2 Packs-Black+Coffee product to anyone with black hair. Return policy says, You can return the item for any reason in new and unused condition. I had to open and try it expecting to work with black as advertised.
