I saw quite a few small black round grains in the food. I am not sure about the hygiene The colour was not good either The taste was not not right.

This is best mock meat I have had available in India. I don't understand the bas reviews. You need to treat it like mock meat and no real meal while cooking. The preparation method is different than cooking actual meat. And masala they have given is just icing on the top!

Very bad in taste. Tastes nothing like meat, texture can be slightly said to be like meat but it is too soft to be called meat actually. Brine solution which is used to preserve this is very bad. Even if you will wash the chunks multiple times, still bad smell stays on chunks which makes it smell and taste very very bad. Even street dogs did not eat it after smelling it.

Doesn't taste like meat but the taste is average

It is not like mutton but is still better than other options available. Wash properly with ample water before proceeding to make. It is soft and texture is not like mutton. Lookwise it is like mutton. Still I liked it.

The world needs to reduce consumption of animal meat to save the environment, animals and your own conscience. But people need proteins and also the succulent feel and taste of meat. Veg protein including Soya used to be rubbery and unappetizing. This mock meat, when cooked with spices looks, feels and has the taste of soft chewy well cooked meat. Looking at price of meat in India, cost wise too this mock meat is a good alternative. Will definitely buy more.
