Greenwood Essential Pure Yellow Marigold Oil (Calendula officinalis) with Glass Dropper for Skin & Hair 50ml (1.69 oz)

This arrives in a small but nicely printed cardboard box measuring approx 3cm x 3cm x 7cm. Instructions for use are printed on an enclosed sheet of paper. Inside the box is the supposedly sealed amber glass bottle of carrier oil with a built in dispenser (so the oil comes out in drops) & also a push in pourer to get larger quantities out in one go. When I opened the box, the instruction leaflet was sticky so I suspect that while the bottle had an unbroken seal it had been partially breached. The smell was indescribably bad so I think it had gone off. This is meant to be a carrier oil with only a faint or no discernible smell. Instead I got something truly pungent that makes you want to wave it under peoples noses so they can share your misfortune. It would drown out most other essential oils. I have used other products by this company in the same range which have been uniformly excellent. This is why I am giving this 3 stars because accidents do happen & every other time I have received a top quality product. This bottle is going in the bin however I would buy this again as I trust the company based on my experience with them to date. I just need time for my nose to forget.

Another Absolutely beautiful oil from this company Greenwood Essential. The smell of marigolds is wonderful, very calming. This is an excellent oil for dry, sore, itchy skin. I mixed it with some Sweet Almond Oil but have also applied straight on skin without a carrier oil. Excellent for calming irritated skin. My brother loved it for him psoriasis.

Great essential oil. good for use in skincare for lotion and potion. Not much is needed within the carrier oil.

This greenwood yellow Marigold oil has a wild, sweet, fruity almost citrus-like smell. It has a yellow to reddish-amber in color . It has great anti-inflammatory properties that can be diluted in carrier oil and use on the skin. By using inhalely it can relieve diarrhea, coughs, convulsions and cramps. Good pure marigold oil

This oil is a great find because marigold oil is not easy to find as a carrier. It’s lovely to moisturise the skin.

Wow! What an amazing smell. Richly floral and slightly tangy, almost like mint. I suppose this is how calendula smells when concentrated, because I can't detect the smell I'm used to. I am surprised that according to the description above, this is supposed to be a carrier oil, but due to the strong scent it is highly unsuitable as such, so I have had to reduce the rating by one star, otherwise it would have been a full five stars. Calendula is excellent for a multitude of ailments, but mostly for the skin such as soothing irritation, helping wounds heal and reducing eczema and the like. Greenwood essential offer the greatest variety of oils I have ever seen. The oils are usually excellent quality and very well priced, except for the carrier oils which are usually over-priced.
