This product works great! Came really quickly!

I recently used the National Blue Snow Salt Ice Melt on my stairs and porch, and I couldn't be happier! It melted the ice quickly, making my outdoor spaces safe and slip-free. Plus, knowing it's pet, plant, and concrete friendly gives me peace of mind. Highly recommend for winter safety! It's big enough that I don't have to worry about running out soon. It definitely is easy to use and works well.

This ice melter works fine once you can open the bucket. Once I pulled the plastic (wrap around) tab I thought the top would pull off readily. However, after repeated attempts with a screwdriver, marlin spike, and then a claw hammer the top would not budge. Finally I. perforated the (plastic) top striking it with a garden pick repeatedly. The bucket then became a 35 lb salt shaker which I emptied into another bucket. Don't worry about the top coming loose while you shake the container.....the top is on there to stay! I don't recommend this product unless you enjoy spending more time wrestling with the container (in the cold) than spreading the melter.
