I love using a natural fiber basket for a "waste" basket in an office or bedroom. This one is the perfect size for either use and it adds an organic feel to the room. What I was not expecting, and am very happy about, is that it comes with a lightweight, yet firm, almost invisible, plastic liner. That means I don't have to put a bag inside it for used Kleenexes or whatever. and ruin the natural look. A quick wipe of the liner and it's clean as can be. Don't love the unobtrusive liner? Take it out. Totally removable. Great quality and very reasonable price. I'm looking around the house for another room so I can order more!

I was really amazed at the excellent quality of this waste paper basket!! I plan on ordering more for the other bedrooms in our home!! It is unexpectedly heavy, so does not tip over easily. I highly recommend it!!

The seagrass small waste basket looks exactly as pictured. Has that nice seagrass smell coming out of the sturdy box it is shipped in. The basket is woven around a metal frame (i.e., rods) so it is nicely shaped, not crooked or asymmetrical in any way. All the products from this company are very attractive and nicely made. Definitely a good price, and I anticipate this will continue to look nice for years. Goes great with a coastal themed room! It does come with a rigid clear plastic liner which unfortunately was crushed inside (I think someone at the warehouse stacked these things up and jammed another one down into this one). (Very nice to have a liner for sanitation and ease of cleaning, even if you use small waste basket plastic liner bags from the grocery store as I do.) I sent an email to Customer Service as listed on the manufacturer's flyer which was enclosed with the item. Within minutes I got a response offering to send a full replacement free of charge. What great customer service!

It's a great wastebasket, sturdy and attractive, not too large or too small. The only problem is that they stack them so that the sturdy, thick cellophane liner is crushed downward to the bottom. I straightened it as much as I could but I think I'm going to have to take a hairdryer to it, hoping the heat straightenes it out. I ordered one and then a second to see if it was any better, but they are both like that. Bugs me a little, but they still function.

How are there 507 reviews of a simple waste basket? I have no idea, but I do know that this is a fine waste basket. It has all the features one would look for in a waste basket, like, it is a container, and you can put trash in it. It happens to be round, which I prefer over rectangular designs. The woven seagrass is unobtrusive yet also attractive. Like, you don't want to highlight the fact that you have a place to put trash in a room. It's not something that people very show on design blogs or in magazines, kind of like they never have Kleenex boxes. But if you are like me and get allergies, you end up having Kleenex in every room which means you also need trash cans in every room. (Seriously, how do people on design blogs live? Do they not blow their nose)? Anyway, I was getting tired of my tiny rectangular waste paper basket so I put this one in my bedroom again and it is much better. Also, I don't know about you but the trash cans with the lids that you have to step on to open get kind of annoying. At one point, I had a puppy who liked to get into trash, and so I replaced all the trash cans in our house with ones with the lids, and now that the puppy is no longer getting into trash, I'm basically annoyed at myself. So I may get more of these simple trash baskets. Just right for the price.

When my wife and bought our first house more than 30 years ago, we purchased a small, round wicker waste basket for the powder room. It has fir perfectly in all of the homes we have lived in, and been the perfect size for a room of that nature. Alas, the wicker finally started to disintegrate and pieces of it fell away every time I emptied the trash. With that in mind, I came looking for a similar item to replace it. I measured the old one and started to search. I found several which were of the proper shape and size, but for the reason of looks and an apparently sturdy construction, I purchased this item. It is well made out of sea grass. It is tightly woven and quite solid. I was surprised at the roughly 6 pound weight of it when I unpacked it and put it in position. I have been using it now for over a month and it is perfect. My expectation is that this waste basket will serve well until long after my wife and I no longer need it. Overall, I can recommend this product. It is attractive, well made and sturdy.

This small, round, gray woven waste basket looks lovely in my little bathroom. It is spacious enough to hold a weeks worth of tissues, but not large enough for more sizeable trash. It is perfect for light weight trash. A bit pricey for what it is but it is well-made and looks nice.

Pros: Looks decent and works for my purposes, which is to act as a decorative basket/pot for an artificial bamboo plant (bought elsewhere). Cons: The material is quite flimsy; it’s like a papery straw that feels like it would be easily crushed if not careful. The plastic liner inside also arrived crumpled. I tried to straighten it to no avail—the picture included is after attempting to straighten it. Maybe this can be corrected by using a low heat or something but I didn’t need it anyway for my purposes. Bottom line is, I would not recommend its use as a wastebasket unless you’re not going for any kind of durability. Neutral observation: the color I ordered, tan, is closer to two thirds cream and one third tan/straw-colored. The cream color feels like a very pale yellow up close.
