This was the 2nd vacuum I purchased on amazon because the first was so bad I returned it. This one is much better. Pros: The brush and suction are great at picking up dog hair. I really like the auto-cord retraction, even though it wasn't a feature I was looking for. I also like the adjusment dial for carpet height. We have some very short carpets as well as some longer furry rugs, so this feature was essential. It works well on both with the proper adjustment. Easy canister emptying. It has a slightly wider track width than some of the others, so that is nice too. There are two things that could use improvement: 1. The area where the belt sits is covered by a piece of plastic, probably to keep hair away from the belt. Unfortunely, dog hair still gets in there, and can burn on the belt, causing a smoking smell. Yikes! To get into that chamber you have to take out like 6 screws, so it's not a quick little operation. 2. The brush does not stop spinning when you are using the hose/wand. That is just silly, but could also cause problems. Overall I'm reasonable happy with the vacuum for the price point, as I wasn't willing to get into the next higher price range machines, and it's substantially better than the lower priced ones I looked at. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.

this vacuum works so freaking well. i was going to get dyson never tried their brand before but im so glad i didn’t spend like $500 on a vacuum. i have 5 animals in my house and it literally pulled all the hair out of my rug AND old carpet powder!!!! the wand release is great and the attachment it comes with works SO FREAKING GOOD. It’s built with all these neat little things for convenience (has built in holders for all attachments, auto cord retrieval, places to keep the hose so it stay out of your way, want has an extension built in on the end so you don’t lose the piece) i love things that make cleaning easier so i don’t dread to clean. The suction power is so good too!!! i’m not getting paid to write this I just am so picky about buying online. I rely on reviews heavy. This is well worth the money!!! light weight great size best vacuum.

This vacuum works like a dream on pet hair and dirt. It even does a great job with dried cat vomit. I don’t like it when I encounter dried vomit, but this vacuum takes care of it quickly. It’s very user friendly. The canister is easy to empty and I like that there’s no bag to mess with. The cord is super long & retracts with the push of a button. It maneuvers really well and gets into most places. I also love that BISSELL supports pets with every purchase of their products.

Great vacuum except the wheel attachment none seem to work well. The swivel is great and it’s lightweight so easy with attachment being the handle. Love the easy pickup with put away cord with no wrapping it!! Yes!! Two huskies this is great

We have had a dyson animal ball 3 for several years. I bought this on special as my kids needed a vacuum upstairs. My son has a carpet that is so thick, the dyson doesn't work on it. I saw that this had an adjustable level for the roller head and I figured I would give it a shot. WOW! this thing is a sucking monster! I was doubtful that the head would adjust that much, but it does! It is so powerful and thorough. We haven't used our dyson since we got this beautiful monster. It works on my son's carpet as well as a carpet we have on the main floor that the dyson just never cleaned very well. We used to vacuum it, then wipe it with a wet rag, then vacuum again as the hair would not come up until we wiped it. This vacuum is a one-shot deal where it cleans it so well we don't have to do the extra work. The manuverabilty is really great and it is light weight. Not sure how it will hold up with 6 cats, 2 dogs and a rabbit to clean up after... the dyson is durable but it just doesn't work as well. For the price I paid, I figure if I can get 2 years out of it, it is a total win. I don't love the wand as much as the dyson. But it is easier to access than the dyson, and because it cleans so well, I use it much less than the dyson's wand. THis wand is a bit short, but I love the tools it comes with. The little head that you attach to the wand works better than the dyson on our couch. It is a zippy little fellow that cleans pet hair pretty well. Love the cord retractor. My only complaint about the cord is that it seems to get tangled a bunch around the vacuum when using it. Not sure if the dyson's placement of the cord is the difference, but it seems to be more in the way.

Things to know: Setup: Easy It comes in about five pieces, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. You could honestly put it together without it, if you wanted too. Weight: Medium It is about 15 lbs. not light by any means, but not the heaviest vacuum either. It definitely feels like a quality piece. It is overall easy to maneuver considering its weight. Maneuverability: Easy It steers really nicely, and pushed easily on several types of floors. Have tried it on carpet, rugs, hardwood floors and tile. There is an adjustment for different floor types if you need it, I was able to keep it on the middle setting for all of these. I do with the cord was slightly longer I did have to pull it into a few different outlets throughout my house to get into every room, I love the sled retractable feature though. Suction: Strong It picked up my hair with ease, we do not have pets but I assume it would work well for that also, it picked up things the size of quarters, and as small as sand. Overall very happy with it.
