Easy to assemble and works as expected
Karcher K1700 pressure washer: Assembly is very easy -- wheels and handle. If you just use the supplied hose then screw it on to the outlet and onto the spray nozzle. Screw the garden hose adapter on and screw a garden hose on. Plug it in and it should work, mine did. I bought a Karcher because a review by Pan the Organizer who said his Karcher K5 lasted 10 years and still works but it was time to get a new pressure washer. As I recall he thought Karcher had a superior pump. I watched a couple reviews of the K-1700 as well. So, as I had no idea and the K-1700 seemed what I was looking for, I bought it. I have light work -- a small cement patio, some siding and vehicles. Note that the high-pressure fittings are M22-14 not M22-15 as many electric pressure washers use so I ended up ordering another set. I knew the foam cannon used M22-14 when I bought it. I didn't see any reference to the fittings in the Karcher manual or brochure. I did see that some Karcher products fit the K2 or K5 but not the K-1700 but was left to assume why. I guess Karcher wants us to buy their brand. I added some quick disconnect fittings. I had a leak on the appliance end of the pressure hose. It seemed the o-ring on the hose is too large and was pushed down when I inserted/screwed the quick disconnect on. I took an o-ring off another fitting and the same thing happened. I then added a garden hose washer to the supplied pressure hose fitting after cutting it down so it fit and replaced the o-ring with a piece of Teflon packing "string" which fit into the o-ring groove perfectly. I used silicon grease to get it to stay put. No leaks. I was testing with a car wash foam cannon which worked very well and produced a persistent snow foam coating. The pressure hose went onto the pressure washer without any leaks. The garden hose adapter leaked some, but I didn't tighten with a wrench which I'll do next time. I ordered another quick connect set for the high pressure fitting on the K-1700 and a couple different sets of o-rings to have on-hand. The electric cord wraps nicely on the supplied handle arms. CONS: 1. Nozzle storage is limited to two regular nozzles and one hybrid rotating type nozzle (as supplied). So, I don't have a place to put other nozzles except in a bag in the storage box. 2. No built-in good way to keep the supplied pressure hose coiled neatly on the unit. The hose is a little stiff and making it fit in the storage box may not work well or conveniently and being slick plastic will likely push out. I added a piece of PVC pipe that went through the handle and that keeps the pressure hose coiled up around the handle and the storage bin. I'll fit it with some closed cell foam to keep it in place as I want to be able to remove it. My initial impression is that I think the supplied hose will work for me but time will tell if a longer, more flexible hose will be needed. The K1700 seems like a good unit overall particularly for the price. I cannot see paying lots for something I don't expect to use that often. Winter storage: per the manual, be sure to run it out of water. It seems that water runs out when I tilt it to the inlet fitting but the manual said to run it until just out of water. I think I can handle that.

Worth it
When on sale, this washer punches well above its weight. Competent build quality, with ease of assembly, it works well for most tasks. (Though I haven't had to challenge it to maximum performance.) The power cable and hose are lengthy enough for what's demanded of it. And the 3-year warranty is quite generous. My only gripe is that the inlet fitting for the garden hose has too few threads. It leaks constantly. But I can live with that.

Great power, light weight, quiet and STANDARD quick connects
Bought this to replace a very old Karcher K5. I always hated the "special" Karcher-only connectors and the twisty hose, but it did a great job for an electric pressure washer and lasted more years than I hoped. This 1900 psi model seems to have the same power as my old K5 and is also quiet to operate. It now has INDUSTRY STANDARD connectors! Bravo and finally. Foam cannon is now easy to connect without special (and funky) adapters. You can buy any accessory you want now. The included tips should do for most jobs. The Turbo nozzle worked great to clean my fencing and house siding. The 40 degree worked for rinsing vehicles. I have not tried it on the driveway or walkways yet. The Not-So-Great 20' hose included should be 25' - just too short. You'll need to reposition often. It is much lighter than the oder models. This is great, but also makes me wonder if it will last. Maybe the pump is made of the same "pot metal" plastic as the garden hose connector? That thing also leaks like a sieve (see video). Will need to look into fixes that others have done, because it is really annoying to have water spraying everywhere (my 1 star deducted). Overall, this is a nice upgrade to my old Karcher. Easy to do what little assembly is required, light, quiet and enough power to get the job done. And the standard quick connects make this a top choice. I only hope the quality is up to Karcher standards, which is why I bought this one. Recommended!

Easy to assemble and quality construction. I recommend changing the 25 foot hose with a premium 50 foot hose also on Amazon.

ESTA HIDRO LA COMPRE EN ABRIL, ESPERE USARLA POR LO MENOS 6 MESES, MIS COMENTARIOS SON LOS SIGUIENTES: A FAVOR: 1) EL EQUIPO ES DE BUENA CALIDAD, VI MUCHOS COMENTARIOS DE PERSONAS QUEJANDOSE POR QUE FALLO, POR QUE LA PISTOLA, POR QUE AL USARLA HACE MUCHO RUIDO, LA VERDAD YO LA USO 3 VECES POR SEMANA, LAVO UNA CAMIONETA Y LAVO EL PISO DE CONCRETO DE MI COCHERA, EN LAS DOS ACTIVIDADES LA USO POCO MAS DE 1 HORA, NO SE CALIENTA, EL RUIDO ES LO NORMAL DE CUALQUIER HIDRO. 2) LA CONFIGURACION DE ESTE EQUIPO A DIFERENCIA DE LAS KARCHER MODELOS MENORES (K1-K2-K3) ES QUE LAS CONEXIONES PUEDEN USARSE CON EQUIPOS DE MAYOR PRECIO, POR EJEMPLO LA MANGUERA ES M22 Y LA PISTOLA TIENE SALIDAS PARA CONEXION 1/4" ESTO TE DA LA OPCION DE CONECTAR BOQUILLAS DE DIFERENTES MODELOS, LOS ADAPTADORES RAPIDOS, COSAS QUE CUALQUIER EQUIPO DE K3 PARA ABAJO TE LIMITA CON LOS BENDITOS "ADAPTADORES" QUE APARTE SIEMPRE SON DE PLASTICO BLANDO FACIL DE ROMPER 3) LOS CONECTORES, AL TENER ENTRADAS ROSCADAS M22 EN LA MANGUERA Y LA PISTOLA, PUEDES AGREGARLE CONECTORES RAPIDOS, PISTOLAS (EN MI CASO COMPRE UNA MARCA MATCC) QUE SE CONECTA SIN PROBLEMA Y QUE TAMBIEN ME SIRVE PARA EL CAÑON DE ESPUMA QUE NO NECESITO COLOCARLO A LA PISTOLA ORIGINAL POR ESTAR MUY LARGA Y QUEDA MUY PESADO, CON ESTA CONFIGURACION DE ENTRADAS, TE PERMITE TENER UNA HIDRO DE PRECIO ACCESIBLE PERO CON MUCHAS CONFIGURACIONES EXTRA (CLARO POR UN MONTO EXTRA TAMBIEN) 4) EL ENCENDIDO DE PIE ES MUY PRACTICO Y ENTRA Y SALE SIN PROBLEMA. DE HECHO LA MAYORIA DE LOS PROBLEMAS QUE LEO EN LOS COMENTARIOS EN SU MAYORIA SON POR MAL PURGADO, O ERROR EN LA OPERACION, ESTA PRESIONANDO EL GASTILLO EN REPETIDAS OCACIONES, ETC. CONTRAS: 1) ALGO QUE NO MENCIONAN EN LA PUBLICIDAD ES QUE LA GARANTIA ES "ENGAÑOSA" SI NO LEES LAS LETRAS CHIQUITAS, POR EJEMPLO, LA GARANTIA DE 3 AÑOS EN MEXICO NO EXISTE, ANTES DE COMPRAR HABLE A TODOS LOS DISTRIBUIDORES CERCANOS, Y TE DICEN LO MISMO, ES UN EQUIPO QUE NO MANEJAMOS, LE PODEMOS METER MANO PERO NO TENEMOS REFACCIONES... Y PARA MI FUE LO PRIMERO QUE ME HIZO DUDAR, POR ESO LA COMPRE PENSANDO QUE A LA PRIMERA FALLA TRAMITO LA DEVOLUCION Y NO SE PIERDE DINERO... PERO LA VERDAD AL RECIBIR EL EQUIPO, SE FUE ESA DUDA, MAS CON LOS PRO QUE CONSIDERO TIENE, UNA SEMANA ANTES DE LA FECHA LIMITE PARA DEVOLUCION TIRO AGUA POR EL CONECTOR, RESULTO QUE EL EMPAQUE SE HABIA SALIDO Y NO ME HABIA DADO CUENTE. 2) EL RECIPIENTE PARA EL JABON (NOOOOO SIRVE COMO UN CAÑON DE ESPUMA) ES INCREIBLE QUE SIGAN PONIENDO COMENTARIOS COMO "NO SALE LA ESPUMA ESPESA" "SE TAPO LA MAGUERA CON EL JABON" SI QUIERES UN BAÑO DE ESPUMA ESPESA PARA TU CARRO COMPRA UN CAÑON, Y UN JABON QUE SEA PARA ESA FUNCION, SI LE PONES JABON AL DEPOSITO LO MAS QUE TENDRAS ES AGUA JABONOSA QUE SE CAE AL SEGUNDO... NI TIEMPO PARA TALLAR, APARTE... NO ES MI MAXIMO QUE OPERE EL EQUIPO CON JABON, PREFIERO ALGO EXTERNO... EN MI OPINION (MAS FACIL DE LIMPIAR) 3) EL TERCER CONTRA Y CREO QUE ES EL ULTIMO ES EL CONECTOR PARA LA MANGUERA DE SUMINISTRO PARA EL AGUA... ES COMO DE PLASTICO DURO, ES LA UNICA PIEZA QUE PUEDO DECIR QUE NO ME GUSTO... PERO BUSCANDO MANERAS DE DEJAR FIJO ESA CONEXION ME TOPE CON LOS FAMOSOS CONECTORES RAPIDOS, TANTO PARA LA MANGUERA M22 COMO EL SUMINISTRO DE AGUA, TODO A 3/8" POR QUE LA PISTOLA VENIA CON ESE ADAPTADOR TAMBIEN... AHORA CON ESO PUEDO PASAR DE LA PISTOLA (RIFLE DE KARCHER) A LA PISTOLA PEQUEÑA SIN DESCONECTAR NADA... ESO EN TEMA DE PROS Y CONTRAS, COMO EXTRA LES PUEDO MENCIONAR LOS ACCESORIOS QUE A LA FECHA LE COMPRE A LA HIDRO (EXTRAS QUE COMPRE DESPUES DE LOS PRIMEROS 4 MESES) PARA QUE COMPRAR TODOS LOS HERRAJES SI EL CABALLO SE TE MUERE AL MES... XD -PISTOLA MARCA MATCC / ESTA PISTOLA VENIA CON 5 BOQUILLAS. -CAÑON DE ESPUMA MATCC, PROBE UNO DE (MTM HYDROPARTS) Y LA DIFERENCIA SOLO ESTA EN EL PRECIO CASI EL DOBLE. USEN UN JABON DE LOS CHEMICAL GUYS UN POCO DE AGUA TIBIA, CIERREN LA LINEA DE AGUA AL MAXIMO Y LISTO, ESPUMA QUE NO SE CAE, POR LO MENOS EN 5 MIN. ES MI MAXIMO... - ADAPTADORES (WOJET Juego de adaptadores para lavadora a presión, kit de desconexión rápida, giro M22 a conexión rápida de 3/8 pulgadas, 3/4 pulgadas a liberación rápida, conversión M22 a M22) ESA ES LA DESCRIPCION, NO SE COMO PONERLES EL LINK, PERO LO VENDE (WOJET) TIENEN POCOS COMENTARIOS PERO SALEN EN MENOS DE 500 PESOS MX Y CUMPLEN, NO TENGO QUE ROSCAR NADA, ARMO Y DESARMO TODO EN MENOS DE 1 MIN. CREO QUE HASTA EL MOMENTO ES MI EXPERIENCIA CON ESTA HIDROLAVADORA, SUPONGO QUE NO FALTA QUE TE PUEDA TOCAR UN EQUIPO CON DEFECTO DE FABRICA... PERO ESO YA ES OTRA HISTORIA... ESPERO LES SIRVA. Picked one of these up on a Prime Day deal. I'd read a bunch of mixed opinions, so here's my observations. The device works great, makes the work area much less messy & contains possibilities of damaging nearby objects re tearing up edges of your lawn or spraying dirt / rocks. On the other hand, it produces a lot of standing water in the work area so you'll need to spray off the aftermath once you're finished unless the area is tilted and will drain away on its own. Regardless, some form of secondary rinse is probably needed. It covers more area while cleaning, but takes a bit longer to remove some of the trickier spots--so if you're taller like me, I like to sit on a fold up step stool (Cosco one I also purchased here) to allow it the patience needed to clean thoroughly. Some people mentioned a need to move the head in specific directions to make it easier. If it's not essentially levitating from adequate water pressure, you need to fix your connections. It has a metal mesh filter inside the quick connect nub to keep the nozzles from getting debris in them, and likely to restrict the pressure for those who ignore the PSI limits in its specs. If pressure is too low, I would describe the symptoms in lessening degrees as: - easier to move in certain directions - spraying but not rotating - shutting off completely Best way to resolve this is to tweak connections and water volume until you get consistent strong flow from the wand itself, then connect the rest of the pieces. My next area to clean is not level (concrete driveway / apron), so I'm looking forward to an even better experience next! Yes, the device is virtually all plastic but that also makes it light and non-fatiguing. But it also means being careless with it and trapping solid objects like rocks or debris inside will likely break it very quickly--but in that case you've written your own ticket. Very happy with this device's performance for the price, and its engineered design elements that ensure your washer is producing intended pressure levels. I will update as I use it on a wider variety of surfaces or if any reliability issues arise. If anyone wonders what its metal clip is for, it's a handy storage feature for hanging on a edge portion of your pressure washer!

5 stars despite a minor but easily fixed problem. After 5 minutes use the cleaner was not as effective and the photos show why. A small piece of plastic “swarf” had blocked one of the white nozzles orifice. After removing the two retaining clips/nozzles/”O” rings I connected the surface cleaner to the pressure washer and pulled the gun trigger to flush any other bits of “swarf” out of the pipework. The piece of swarf* sticking out of the nozzle was cut off and the nozzle blown through with compressed air to eject the remaining swarf* out of the back of the nozzle (* the two black bits in front of the right hand “O” ring) If I had not had compressed air to use I would have tried to vacuum out the the nozzle rather than poking the swarf out with a pin and possibly damaging the nozzle. So, if you buy this surface cleaner, you may want to consider removing the two retaining clips/nozzles/”O” rings and flushing the pipe work before you first use the cleaner.
