Keter Copenhagen 32 Gallon Resin Large Trash Can with Lid for Patio and Outdoor Kitchen, Brown

Previously I owned the Suncast version of the plastic indoor/outdoor garbage can. In brown and then in the lighter beige/sand. Both of them had issues with the flip top breaking off and both were nearly impossible to remove the bag from without a snag. We dreaded a full bag. My husband would use swear words when pulling it out. But we have greyhounds - tall dogs with pointy snouts perfect for can work. So I came across this one as a replacement. I also hate the look of an ugly can sitting in our kitchen and the smell of garbage lingering in a cabinet - no way. I also like to be able to clean my garbage cans with ammonia once or twice a month to sanitize. So I bought 2 of these to replace what was left of our last set-up, moved to a bigger place with a bigger kitchen. Bought 2. LOVE them. Holy cow the full bag just glides out! No potty mouth, no ripped bags, no pulling things out to try and pry the bag out (which is all kinds of awful). Glides... beautiful. Top is heavy enough to prevent a snout breach and if I desire, the top will stay open during a two handed disposal moment. And they look great. No escaping odors, no parts that I know will break over time and the design actually matches my personal kitchen but a remodeled one maybe not so much. Only drawback - would love to see more "modern" colors available but that's on me, not the can. The can is perfect. Bought one for garbage, another for recyclables. 33 gallon bags fit perfect with enough excess to always allow a clean tie up. Well worth the price. As for the handles, it took 30 seconds to put them on but I like that I could change to match my decor if I decided to.

well built quality item

We bought this for our pantry/kitchen. It looks very nice there! If you are looking for an indoor sturdy garbage, with an easy open lid, then this is for you! We love the color and style. The dog/chocolate lab no longer gets into the garbage. This is nice and tall. My husband had to put a washer in with each screw to tighten the handle because it was too loose and not sturdy enough, otherwise it came assembled and we love it!!! Would recommend this. The only thing we do not like is the cheap/loose handle--until we used a washer with the screw then it was perfect!

We have two of these trash cans. One in the kitchen, and one in the garage. Love them because they’re sturdy and hold a lot of trash. I also bought large rubber bands (from Amazon) to secure the bags to the top which are useful when I lift the inner canister out of the exterior can. (Search Amazon for 33 gallon garbage can bands ) We also have two smaller built in trash cans that are on a roller in a cabinet, which we never use because it seems I’m always changing the bags out. This large 33 gallon is convenient, functional, sturdy and looks great in the kitchen. Highly recommend. 👍🏻

There wasn't too much assembly. Just two screws to affix the handle to the trash can, very easy and quick.I specifically chose this trash can because of the large capacity and it met my expectations. It has great capacity. It's performed better than I actually expected for a trash can. Since it's resin I was expecting some issues like cracks or scratches because my large family and I use it as a kitchen trash can. Which also speaks to it's versatility. I get a lot of compliments on this product. Sort of surprising for a trash can that's meant to be an outdoor trash can.A minor issue I have experienced only a few times is at top where the side and the front joint meet on the inside, sometimes the joint pops out a bit. But I pop it back together, and all is fine.Ease of cleaning on the inside is no problem. Only challenge for me is because it's so large, my whole body practically goes inside to clean it. Thankfully, there's seldom any leaks at the bottom so I don't have to get inside the trashcan that often.As far as cleaning the outside of the trash can, the grain like texture and slat design can make it a little tedious. Don't use paper towels to clean the outside, the grain texture of the trash can catches the fibers of the paper towels even when wet. The slat design of the trash can makes it a bit tedious to clean but worthwhile tradeoff.Getting the hang of how to properly put the trash bags on the inside frame takes a few tries but once you get it, it's 2nd nature. I just followed the instructions included with the trash can and used 33 gallon bags.If there was a way to change how the lid closes that would be great. It slams shut. It's great that it fits tightly and there's no odors coming out, just as one would want. But not everyone takes the time to close the lid slowly by hand. Most just let the lid close on it's own, hence the slamming shut.

I love this trash can. It is ugly but it fits in the laundry off the kitchen. We seem to manufacture trash, lol, so this 33 gal capacity works like a charm. I also like the handle, easy open and stays shut!

Updated ReviewAfter almost a year and getting better bags (33 gal versus 30 gal) I felt I needed to update this review. It has been a great trash can and has handles 110+ degree days in direct sunlight with no issue. It is very sturdy and still looks great despite being in the elements for almost a year. I had originally rated it a 3 start because it just would not hold a trash bag. However after reading online, I found that a 33 gallon or large outdoor trash bags work wonderful. It is really easy to take out the inner can to change bags and it also help if you have a lot of heavier items in the bag to support it and take it to dump.Previous ReviewWanted something to withstand the hot summers outside, by the pool. This certainly seems to be able to handle the job for that. However it is horrible at holding trash bags and it gets worse the more you put in the bags. Would look elsewhere, if I was looking again.
