This thing seems tough, it is bright and shiny and nice quality. The seal seems great, got it for a kayak to be able to drain the water out, just be sure you check what is on the other side before you drill a hole. I almost put it in the wrong spot before I thought about the screws sticking through and then the plug itself sticking through. I ended up putting it on top of the kayak by the handle so when you tip it upside down the water dumps out.
