Subtle and sweet
This was an amazing upgrade! Installed this on my ‘21 Sonata SEL+ and have been enjoying it since. With the right tools (listed in the instructions), install for me took less than 30 minutes, very straight forward and fit as it should. It has been working flawless for me the past couple of weeks. The most noticeable thing for me was the throttle response feels much more immediate and allows the turbo to build up easier initially where I was getting some slight lag. And of course, who doesn’t enjoy the subtle blowoff it grants as well. Would highly recommend for those wanting to add a little personality to their ride.

Gives Personality while staying Subtle
TLDR: Sounds great, slight performance bump, easy install—but long-term engine health is a concern due to high-flow filters. I installed this on my 2022 Kia K5 mainly for the sound and to see if there’d be any performance gain—and for the most part, it delivers. The sound is subtle but clean, especially when you get on the throttle. It adds a bit of character without being obnoxious, which I really like. Performance-wise, don’t expect massive gains, but I did notice a small improvement in throttle response and acceleration. It’s not something most people would feel right away, but when I ran my K5 side by side with a friend’s completely stock K5, mine pulled just a little bit harder. So it’s there—just minor. Installation was straightforward and everything fit well. The build quality feels solid, and it looks good under the hood too. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of what every car person knows but no one likes to talk about—high-performance filters like this one let in more dirt and particles over time. That better airflow comes at the cost of filtration, and while it’s fine for now, I can’t ignore the fact that long-term engine wear is a real risk with oiled or high-flow filters. I’ll be keeping an eye on things and might run an additional pre-filter if needed. Overall, it’s a solid upgrade if you want better sound and a slight edge in performance, just be aware of the trade-offs that come with more airflow.

Great intake, I originally had the k&n air filter installed in the factory housing and saw a pretty good fuel mileage increase (more stable) , performance wise I'd say maybe. I found this cold air intake and thought why not, it claimed more horsepower and even better fuel mileage, I immediately noticed the turbo spool whistle and increased engine noise on acceleration through the cabin. With the windows up. I've had it installed for a couple months now and I've increased my fuel mileage by 2.5 mpg and I drive with a lead foot mostly. Power increase is obvious, it won't turn your sonata into a lamborghini but you'll notice a better acceleration and smoother power for sure. I also chose this cold air intake because of the color. I own a 2023 portfolio gray sonata sel plus and it matches the paint almost perfectly. Great appearance!

Some gains
Fits pretty good. Had to fit the box liner but all in all. Good product and with exhaust mod. The castle gains performance. End tube to throttle body is a little too big

this does not fit a 2922 stinger theis has a 2.5 engine in not a 2.0
your information for the 22 stinger is insorrect, I called K&N and they didn't know this was 2.5 engine they have not developed a cold air bos for the 2022

Not loud enough
The install was easy very straight forward and the product is solid. However it is not loud enough. If you have the windows up and the AC barely blowing you can’t hear the intake or turbo. The intake does not replace the tube/elbow that is connected to the turbo. This has a resonator inside it that muffles the sound. If you want hear any turbo noise i suggest going with the shark racing intake.
