I ship a ton of items for my eBay business, and since I’m a night owl, I tend not to start until 1 or 2 in the morning. Until I found this tape, I can’t even tell you how obnoxiously loud I was being while trying to configure shipping boxes. Not only is this packing tape silent, it’s high quality. It doesn’t peel off my boxes after a few hours, even when left in the sun. The one thing to note is that it will dissolve the text made by thermal label printers if you tape directly over a shipping label. I used to place a strip of tape across the destination address (a habit I picked up to ensure that even if a box got wet, the label wouldn’t be ruined with streaks of running ink if I used packing tape to laminate the label, so to speak). However, I no longer use my inkjet printer to create shipping labels, I use my Brother thermal label printer. A few months ago I had packaged up orders on a Friday that weren’t being sent out until Monday. When I went to put them outside for my USPS pickup Monday morning, the addresses had already faded so dramatically that I needed to reprint their labels.Please note that I’m pretty sure it’s NOT recommended by any of the major shipping companies to place tape directly over your shipping labels, I imagine, because of issues like this. If you use this packing tape as intended, I have no doubt you’ll love it just as much as me!

This is very quiet tape and while the adhesive is not the the stickiest, it is still plenty enough. Additionally, it does not have any tendency to cling to itself when on the roll dispenser, it is always in place where it should be when you are ready to dispense. When pealing it off the roll, it does not split in the middle leaving slivers of tape pealing off wastefully. It is the overall best quiet tape I have used in my ten years of small business shipping, it is the only tape for me.

No noise indeed. I had a thought if there was a product for "quiet tape". I searched in Amazon and well... here I am. I used to buy the cheap tape, the one with a duck on it at the dollar store and walmart. Yeah no, not anymore. I can now pack at any time of the day and night without making a peep. It's quiet, it's thicc and it works. Buy it!

I would not re-purchase this brand of tape. It is quiet; however, it is very thin and the "sticky" is not too sticky. My tape gun cannot "grab" it to keep it from unrolling.
