My cat has always liked toys on a stick, but i’ve never seen her get so riled up about it 😂 the string is elastic, and it adds a bounce that makes the toy a lot more entertaining to watch them play with. It was definitely worth the price, but she usually demolishes these things in a week, I’ve had it for a few days and no breaks yet, but I’ll update if I need to. It’s a good cat toy! My only complaint is a very small one, which is that I didn’t get the cute duck but some kind of… squirrel? I guess. The tail is clearly some kinda leftover/forgotten about leopard fabric, but they’re cats, so it doesn’t matter much.

My first experience with this toy came from one purchased locally, which was a duck. That was a major hit! The duck has short dangly legs made of a lightweight cotton rope. After a short time, I tied a narrow fabric ribbon (about 6 inches long) to the duck's neck. That addition made this the top wand toy in the house. The elastic string is sturdier than most, though after a time, a cat who likes to chew will defeat it. Replacement is easy enough; most sewing stores carry elastic string. Unlike many wand toys, the actual wand is made from a rather short wooden dowel. The wood material turned out to be a real plus. Our latest cat came to us by means of the local humane society. Picked up as a stray, he's a really intent chewer, and makes short shrift of any plastic wand except those made of solid lucite. Yes, the wood is unfinished, but if you are bothered by that, treatment with either mineral oil or any non-toxic salad bowl/cutting board treatment products will take care of that. I like the length; it's easy to keep the play interactive at close quarters. My one wish is that this vendor allowed the buyer a choice. There are three options shown. I received the bunny, but although I was disappointed, the cat was not. (If he becomes bored, I can always add a short ribbon.) I will be buying additional toys as Christmas gift for friends and family with cats. (I will pre-treat the wands.)

I ordered 3 of these. My kitten really loved the string because it's stretchy and chewy. He loved it so much that he chewed through the string of the first toy within 5 minutes of playing with it. The string of the second toy immediately started to fray. I didn't even receive the third toy. :( This might be okay for an adult cat that doesn't have an urge to chew, but it's not great for a wild kitten. I'm also glad that I didn't leave him alone with it for any period of time because he could easily have ingested the string had I let him continue to chew on it. It seems rather dangerous. I will use the one I have left with my adult cats to see if it holds up better with them. Hopefully I can get the company to reimburse me for the third toy that I didn't receive.

My cats are spoiled. They have a huge basked of toys with over 70 items, but only favor a few. My tomcat ONLY likes the skinneeez toys. I don't know why, They get both dried catnip, fresh catnip and toys sprayed with catnip spray. However, my Tom absolutely ADORES these things. I think part of it is he likes the feel of it in his mouth, as opposed to traditionally stuffed toys. I love the fact that they are EXTREMELY durable. I have 2 Skinneeez mouse toys on an wand that I have had for 3 years yet neither the string toy nor wand has detached --- and my cats play hard. I thought it was finally time to replace the old ones with new. OMG, I couldn't remember the brand name. I searched and searched from store to store, but could not find them anywhere. Then I came to Amazon and searched and searched. Finally, VIOLA! I found them, but I could not buy any mice. I had to buy whatever animal they chose to send me. Well, as it turned out, my Tom was as crazy about the new animal (looks like a duck or platypus) as he was with the mice. He loved it so much, I think I got my money's worth on the very first night. There's a lot of toy wands out there, but so far, nothing compares to the Skinneeez (and no, I am not affiliated with the company in any way).

My kitten ripped the string off the stick within the first 10 min of play. I had to tie to the stick from another toy. He loves it though so I'm giving it 3 stars

These are smaller than you might guess from the photo. They're great if you're sitting and only playing over a small area (a square meter or so), or if your cat is comfortable with you getting up and moving about with her. New cats may take your standing up as an aggressive act and run to hide, or may be nervous about a large person moving about in their play space. My timid cat who is still scared of many toys is quite happy with this toy - I got the mouse. My friend with a rather brave kitten got the duck. From the near proximity, the cats seem quite well aware that the toy is associated with the safe human, but they're still more than willing to pounce, chase and play. They don't need to be fooled. Every part of the toy is soft fabric with no metal connectors, so a bop on the nose or a brush over the side is never a worry. The elastic is strong enough that it hasn't come apart even when my cat plays "tug," which isn't true of many other toys. You might start with a toy like this for a new cat, then graduate to a longer-ranged toy later.

This little toy is probably the best I have come across - and I've bought a whole load of toys! It is a sturdy wooden stick with an elastic string and a (seemingly) indestructible catnip toy at the end. My cats are very fond of this brand of catnip and can't resist this toy. It has been chewed, pulled, chomped and is still in one piece and on the end of the string! The elastic does tend to 'go' after a while of being pulled, but my kitties still prefer this over any of their other toys :)

Great toy that my cat thoroughly enjoys. She's not gentle with it and it's lasted much longer than most of her toys. I bought another in preparation for when this breaks but it doesn't seem to be happening! She loves to carry it around in her mouth to show off her kill - I think the soft fabric makes for a satisfying bite! The little woodland creatures are cute and perfect victims for my merciless feline. Would definitely recommend for any cat who enjoys simulated murder.

Excelente producto, mi gato lo AMO, es cierto que sólo es un juguete y no puedes elegir cual, a mí en lo personal no me importó, ya que ambos son muy bonitos (lo he comprado dos veces), buenos acabados, resistente. Lo recomiendo
