Delicious
I've purchased this several times. The instructions are easy to follow and results in a loaf that is so good, you'll think you've gone back to Ireland. Just be mindful not to overbake it or it will be a little crumbly. However, even the mistakes are good.

easy to make
This is almost as good as the brown bread I remember so fondly from a trip to Ireland. the crust is fairly hard, but I've read that if you place a tea towel over the crust and butter the top after it comes out of the oven, it will be less hard. Very hearty - one piece fills me up - and great texture. Some butter and jam and wow! And very easy to make!

THIS IS IT!!
After visiting Ireland with my family, I realized how much I loved the brown soda bread that we purchased in the grocery store and also enjoyed in many restaurants. I have never found a way to make it or buy it in the US until I found this! It bakes up great and is absolutely perfect- I will continue to purchase and bake this incredible bread!

Quick and easy.
I’m Irish but I didn’t like this bread mix. It tasted like thick oatmeal but as I like a browner consistency it may just be my opinion. Great idea though. I’m actually going to order the whole meal from this company and make my own

Quick and delicious!
I made this as soon as I got it. If I can't eat it in Donegal, it's the next best thing.

Makes ONE tasty loaf...just one
I can't eat yeast breads so I finally discovered a recipe for soda bread. I wanted to try Odlum's before purchasing a big bag of flour and I am now hooked on this bread. I used to bake yeast bread often and I missed it. I am so happy that bread is still possible without yeast. The batter is wet, not one you have to knead, which helps to produce a soft interior and the flavor is not like the "whole wheat" that I've made before, it's much, much better and doesn't taste like whole wheat at all, which I thought was amazing. It also has that outer crunchy texture which is great. I baked it in a 1 1/2 qt Le Creuset loaf pan which was the perfect size. I buttered the top of the loaf when it came out of the oven because the exterior was so hard. But then I read to cover the bread with a tea towel..which I believe also softens the exterior. So I did both, buttered the top and after the butter soaked in, I covered it lightly with a tea towel and the hard exterior transformed into lightly crunchy. I love the texture of the bread and the slightly sweet flavor. My only issue is the cost for one loaf seems a bit too much at $9.50.
