Derby Premium Double Edge Razor Blades, 100 Count

These are really nice blades, and a fantastic value. I've gone through about a dozen blades so far, and I feel like I'm getting a more comfortable shave than with other brands.These Derby blades aren't spooky-sharp the way Feather blades are, but that also means they're more forgiving. If I breathe wrong while using a Feather blade, I'll wind up with a nasty cut. But these Derby blades feel a lot more forgiving, while still being plenty sharp enough to provide a close, comfortable shave.I don't have an extremely coarse, heavy beard, and I get 3 or 4 days of shaves out of each blade. I do have sensitive skin, and shaving with these blades leaves me with a lot less irritation and a cleaner shave than some other blades I've tried (Feather, Van Der Hagen, Merkur), and for a fraction of the price!

Fantastic, smooth, sharp, but slightly mild blade. My preferred choice in slightly more aggressive razors. I use this blade daily .. it is that good! My other daily user is the outstanding Astra Superior... sharper, but not QUITE as smooth.You can't go wrong with this one. Strong recommendation.

I purchased a 100 pack a few years ago and used several of the blades with great results. I recently went back to this blade after 2 Years of not using it due to the fact that I have thousands of other blades. I forgot how wonderful this blade truly is in any razor. I have about 40 blades left from my 100 pack and will definitely order more once I go through them. I highly recommend them. I get 3 optimum shaves with the blade which includes several days of beard growth every time I shave. I can even push this to 4 shaves. One blade will last me at least 1 and a half weeks. For the price perhaps only the Gillette Wilkinson blades made in India is the only blade that beats it value wise. Just pick up a 100 and you will be glad you did.

Having used multi-blade cartridge razors for most of my life and dealing with outrageous razor burn and bumps, I opted to switch to a single blade DE razor and give it a shot.First use of a DE single blade and I was hooked!I bought a german sounding brand handle and a 5 pack of their (pricey) blades. While their blades are amazing at getting a great shave for me, the price point (avg. of $3 for a pack of 5) threw me off I can’t seem to find their blades in an en bulk pack. Thus, the hunt for an en bulk razor blade began!I found a plethora of different options, all of which had mixed reviews. Having sensitive skin myself, I need something thats not SUPER sharp, but sharp enough to get the job done without hacking up my face. I read a lot of the reviews on these and came to the conclusion that these were the blade for me.Having used them for a little over a week, the shave is decent, although a little rougher than my german sounding brand blades.Also, depending on how you treat these blades, they can be a little fickle in how long they last.All in all, they're decent for the price point, and will get the job done, but be sure to take proper care of them to make sure they last a good amount of time.Yes, I’d buy them again, but with 100 of them, I venture that’ll be in about a year.

I've been holding off on writing this review, so I could give them a good tryout. In the past years, I have used all of the usual suspects - Feather, Shark, Rapina - the list goes on and on. I was never really happy with any of them. Some didn't shave well, some didn't last but a few shaves, some were dull right out the box. You all know the story. On a whim, I decided to try Derby Premium in the black box. I do better with platinum coated blades, and these had that - plus chromium, tungsten and polymer. Everything but Rain-X. They were cheap on Amazon, so I went for them.Surprise, surprise, they're REALLY good! I get a close, smooth, shave and they last an entire week without stretching it. I know everybody's face is different, but if you're unhappy with your blades, try Derby Premium in the black box. Even if they're not the best blades your personal face has ever felt, they won't suck and they're totally worth the money spent.

These are very nice and consistent blades. They last me 4-5 shaves each. They are not scary sharp but very sharp and coated. I'm using them in a Merkur Futur clone and they're performing very well.

Irritation and pulling. Do not buy these unless you have really soft baby hair.

I have be debating on whether to buy these blades for quite some time now. It wasn't the price of the blades that I had a problem with it was that I can't stand to waste anything so if I hated them I would have to suffer through it until they were all gone just like I did when I bought a 100 pack of the personna blades. I know some people swear they are the best blades they have ever used but for me they were way too sharp. I am 28 and I've been fighting acne most of my life and the personna blades just ripped it off. So I read the reviews on the Derby blades and said what the hell and I'm so glad I did these blades are sharp and smooth all at the same time I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
