Schleich Wild Life, Animal Figurine, Animal Toys for Boys and Girls 3-8 Years Old, Female Orangutan, Ages 3+

I bought several Schleich animals for my girls’ first birthday party. Someone did a review showing the difference in detail between a Schleich animal and a cheaper option and there was no comparison- Schleich is waaay better quality. I intended for the animals to just be party decor, but I am saving these for when the girls are older and can play with them. My dad (who’s in his 60s) thought these were amazing and was super interested in them. He wanted to get some for himself! I suspect we will be adding many more to our collection (and getting granddaddy some too) in the future. :)

Very sturdy. A gift for my grandson, who likes monkeys. Very realistic looking.

This sweet little orang girl is my new desk buddy and official zookeeper of my USB thumb drive. But I accidentally discovered she's also perfect size to sit in the cockpit of my 1/12 scale Sopwith Camel balsa model airplane. Tally-ho, Red Baron! The Orange Baroness is on your six!

This seems a tad bit large compared to the other schleich figures, but maybe they are a bigger animal in real life? The arm pops off if it is turned too far back, with no pressure. Luckily, it pops right back on just as easily. Overall, we like it, and it seems to be a decent quality. Not my favorite schleich item. Maybe moveable parts is ot their forte.

This is a hard plastic statue given to a child as a reminder of their efforts in researching the Orangutan . It’s similarity to the animal won over the decision. It is hard, easily held by the child and somewhat indestructible.

My two year old nephew kept yelling he wanted a “big, hard orangutan” and this did the job.
