Great purchase!
This does not disappoint. Ok, it's chicken in a pouch so your expectations can't start out that high anyway. But I've got some picky eaters and we all liked it. As another reviewer mentioned there is a little bit of liquid in there and if you crush the chicken up in the pouch before opening the package you end up with juicy tender chicken when you open it up. That's the way to go. This is tasty and is very versatile. It's perfect for camping to either eat with crackers, make sandwiches or add to other ingredients to make a heated meal. When I bought it I was a bit hesitant because I had never heard of Sweet Sue but it's a Bumble Bee brand so the brand familiarity made me feel a bit better. Then after trying it we know it's something we'll purchase again.

Quick Chick
I found this chicken meat to be moist, tender and full of flavor. I like the soft packs.

Sweet Sue Chicken Breast is Awesome
Great chicken with a very good taste. I thought it might be dry, but it is very moist. I recommend that if you're using on a salad you drain the packet first. We have mainly used it on salads; however, I also added it to some pasta with leftover broccoli, salt, pepper, shallots, and Alfredo sauce. Placed in a glass casserole dish and heated in oven. It was a terrific quick entree. I'm sure you can discover many quick meals using Sweet Sue Chicken Breast!

The Best Shelf-Stable Chicken Option I've Found
Not sure why this chicken has so many bad reviews. I purchased this on a whim- even after reading the many complaints that it tasted 'fishy', and I'm happy I purchased it nonetheless. This product is exactly what it says it is; pre-cooked, cubed white chicken breast meat ready to be eaten. It's a 1 cup serving packaged away in a sealed foil package. The package easily opens by simply tearing it apart across the top. You can eat the chicken directly out of the packet or use it for cooking. The texture of the chicken is as advertised. It's cut into small chunks and depending on how 'squished' the package has been throughout the day, some of the chunks make have flaked- making it more of a mush. I see why people could mistake this chicken for a tuna-like product, considering it's been canned. When you pressure cook meat it becomes soft- much different from if you boiled, baked, or barbequed chicken. The texture is not quite as chewy. And yes- in terms of texture it's exactly like canned tuna. Why? Because all meats react the same way when canned. They get softer. So of course it's going to compare to canned tuna. With that being said, no- it does not taste like canned tuna. It's not seasoned so it lacks any sort of 'extra flavor' that you'd typically find on chicken. Considering tuna is called 'chicken of the sea' - when both meats are unflavored and cooked the same way they do taste similar. But at the end of the day these packets are definitely 110% chicken. I've eaten these packets a variety of ways. I've brought them on camping trips with me and simply eaten the meat out of the packet with a spoon. I've mixed the meat with mayonnaise eaten the mixture on a cracker. And I've also cooked with it! My all time favorite thing to put this chicken on? Frozen pizza! I place garlic cloves, bacon bits, red onion, chopped tomato, and this chicken on some frozen pizza and wah-lah you have the BEST frozen pizza ever. This chicken bakes perfectly on top of a pizza and becomes a nice golden brown color. So delish! I've also added this chicken to other meals such as ramen noodles, mushroom soup, and cheesy potato soup. It goes in everything! It does have salt added (so be warned if you're adding this to an already-salty meal). But the salt isn't overpowering. It makes a great 'treat meal' for dogs, cats, and ferrets as well- and all three of my pets love these packets! They get the leftovers when I'm finished. My only complaint is that the packaging is just a little wasteful. These packets are made of a plastic-coated foil that will not biodegrade. It's not much better than cans- but it's significantly worse than just buying your own whole chicken at the supermarket. Typically I'll buy my own whole chicken in bulk and cook it and save it for myself in Tupperware containers. With that being said, these specific packets are GREAT for travel and camping because they are light-weight, easy-to-carry, can be opened without a can opener, and are shelf stable. If you're backpacking or venturing into the wilderness these are the best. But for simply using around the home, I'd opt for something with less wasteful packaging. Overall, I think this product is very underrated and I say- give it a shot! It'd be great for work, travel, camping, and even kid's lunch boxes.

Yummy in Buffalo Chicken Dip and Casseroles
Love how quick and easy these large packets are to add to recipes. A quick way to add protein when I don't want to cook. Large chunks of cooked white chicken breast.

Wonderful chicken
I was surprised by how great this is. I had another brand of precooked chicken that was rather disappointing. Sweet Sue is now my go to for fast meals. Just bought another.

Fantastic for backpacking!
Very tasty! I use these packs of chicken for backpacking so that I can carry cooked chicken for days without needing refrigeration. I just cook up some broth and rice, throw in the packet of chicken and I have a warm tasty meal at night out in the backcountry and the packaging easily folds up so that I can pack it out in low volume unlike cans.
