I love this baking pan not only because it bakes well but because of it's height. So many times I ordered a brownie pan and it was so short that right after opening the package I would return the pan. I gave up looking for awhile and one day I decided to look again. Then I saw this one and noticed the height was three inches. Ordered it but didn't read the rest of the description. When this pan came it I was happy with the height but noticed the bottom of the pan was different. There was a square opening with a tray to put over the opening. I don't know why it was made like this guessing so more heat can distribute also under the batter. Well I didn't use it right away so when I did make brownies I didn't read the manual again. I just put the tray over the opening and pored the mix. Put the pan in the oven and in less than five minutes I was smelling a strong odor. I looked in the oven and saw a good bit of the mix had leaked out from the bottom of the pan and on the bottom of the oven. I then through about the opening so hurried and got a flat cookie sheet to put under the pan. After I read the manual again and it had written to put a cookie sheet under the pan. After it was done the brownies were baked (I always double my batter) and tasted awesome. The weight is not heavy, made well and worth the money. I had to give the pan a five star because the pan is made very well. I gave myself a one star for not reading the manual again before baking in it.

The product was great quality, easy to clean and sturdy. However they sent me the wrong size I ordered and paid for a extra large and they send me the large and I could not return it because I had three orders for cheesecakes that had to go out in the morning so it inconvenience me that I could not provide my customer with their exact orders so I still used and kept it anyway and funds were never adjusted.

Love, love, love my Brownie Pans Amazing pan! Nothing stuck. They worked great. The size is a little small, but perfectly fits a store-bought brownie mix. I used 2 Brownie pans and used 2 mixes and put both pans on top of one extra large cookie sheet. Baked them at 350 degrees for 33 minutes total. (Checked it at 23 minutes then added 5 minutes, then 5 more) They came out so good and looked great. Best looking brownies I've ever made! I'm thinking I need 2 more so I can use the other rack in my oven. I like to make sweets for church functions and our church has a Dessert ministry and a Hospitality Team.

So I got this yesterday because either our brownie pan got thrown out or we never had one, and this looked really cool. I was concerned about the way the bottom portion works, and my mother told me to use a baking sheet so I did, and I was glad I had two clean ones ready, because it leaks. So here's what happened: I started by following the directions for making brownies, putting it all in the pan and started mixing, like in the pan's video. Then I started seeing fluid (oil, water, or both) around the pan on the cookie sheet. When I was done, there was quite a bit of it, so I moved the pan to another clean cookie sheet, and threw it in the oven, then cleaned the first cookie sheet. (Note: I am wondering if maybe using some foil underneath the removable bottom might work to solve the leaking problem. I may try that next time.) When I was done, I realized I didn't have anything that had a bit of height but small like the block in the video, so I had to get the bottom up using my hands, though I'm not sure how. In the end, the brownies turned out great, in their precut squares, just like in the video. Cleanup was super easy too - just rinsed right off. So overall it is a really good product, but that leaking thing is really annoying.

I was linked to this product from an article claiming that it gave an all edges effect to the brownies. I experimented with several different baking temperatures and times, and was unable to achieve this. There are no recipes included with the pan, so I used the standard Baker's Chocolate One Bowl Brownies recipe with no adjustments while I was trying to make the all edges thing happen. It's definitely smaller than a standard 9x13 pan. I didn't have trouble with leaking, because I always use parchment paper, so I can't speak to that issue that other reviewers have had. It's nice and heavy. With the removable bottom I might use it as a tart pan, but it didn't work for my intended purpose. It's nice to not have to cut the brownies, but it's not like that was a real problem that needed solving anyway...
