Very sturdy. Had to trim the bar a bit because of the way our fence is built but other than that, it worked out great!

Heavy duty and works well. Be careful in ordering do you need 2" or 2 3/4 " depends on thickness of the gate

I'm so glad I found this GateMate lock on Amazon. I was looking for an inconspicuous way to lock my new enclosure's swing gate adjacent to my house. As you will see in the photos, all that is visible is the brass lock cylinder itself. The action is smooth and resistance-free. Installation was easy with the right power tools. They even provide the 28mm bit for a perfect, clean hole and sticker templates for both left-hand and right-hand entries. Stickers, not some cheap piece of paper you have to cut out and tape. Marking and drilling the holes was easy. I recommend drilling the 28mm hole from the inside until you see the bit's tip poking through the outside, then drill the rest of the way from the outside inward for a clean finish on the exterior. This lock comes with strong chrome or zinc screws that don't strip with the impact driver. I chose not to use the included striker bracket, but it is just as strong. Thanks GateMate for an awesome product I would have never found locally!

This is a super sturdy, incredibly well-built gate lock. I love it. My husband loves it. His friend loves it. Both are builders and are planning to use these for their projects in the future.

I end up returning this lock but only because I decided to go another route. But it was a Solid quality product. Easy to install and worked as expected.

This is just what I needed to easily secure the driveway gate when I leave with my bike. The lock mechanism is sturdy and smooth. This is a nice beefy unit made of quality materials.

, mon portail présente un espace important entre les 2 ventaux , car il gonfle ou se rétracte suivant la météo, j'avais donc besoin d'un verrou ayant une longue course de pène , ce qui n'a rien a voir avec les verrou a long pene vendu en françe en grande surface de bricolage , car le long pene de ces verrou ne se déplace que de 3 cms maximum alors que celui ci déplace le pène sur 7 cms . donc tres pratique lorsque les 2 ventaux sont espacés ce verrou est parfait , un tour de clé ouvre totalement ou ferme totalement le verrou qui peut etre installé indépendamment a gauche ou a droite . construction solide en inox. le seul point négatif est la longueur du canon qui est de 7 cms , ce qui impose de mettre des cales si l epaisseur de votre portail est inférieur a 7 cms .

Very easy to fit. Comes with left & right hand fitting templates that stick to your gate. Template shows where to drill holes and also the hole for the main lock. Kit also includes spade drill bit and five keys. Couldn’t fault this in any way. Would highly recommend. As recommended by @ProperDIY YouTube channel.

Il y a vraiment tout ce qu'il faut pour installer cette serrure en toute facilité. Vis, gabarit, mèche à bois de 28... La serrure en elle même semble etre d'excellente qualité et surtout, la course du pêne est suffisamment longue pour compenser le jeu qui se produit entre l'hiver et l'été... Bref, une bonne surprise.
