Sony DRX-830U 18X External USB 2.0 Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive

I've only used my Sony DRX830U drive one time. I used it to record a DVD from my digital camera. The result was a good quality DVD of my grandsons. It took me awhile to figure out how to work the program. My computer knowledge is limited. I had to print off the entire manual and follow the step by step directions. At any rate, I am satisfied with the results thus far.

This Sony drive is the best . I have bought and used 3 of them out. It burns flawlessly and reads you dvd movies or programs on the computer with no problem. It is exceptional. If I need another Ill look for the same kind. I love Amazon and I always look there before anywhere else to get my merchandise.

I bought this used, so the surface scratches and dents were to be expected. I am not sure if it is necessarily a defect, but sometimes I hit the eject button and the disk does not eject.

I purchased this burner through Amazon and it was shipped very quickly by ANTOnline. I haven't tried the Nero software which is included because I'm using ProShow to create and burn DVD slideshows. As others have said, it burns at about 1/2 of the advertised speed. I occasionally have trouble with a DVD where the writing process will not start. The burner is running but nothing happens. I don't know if that is a problem with the DVD, the software or the burner. Otherwise I am satisfied with this purchase. I'm not sure that you can do any better for the price.

This DVD burner is amazing I now own 2. It works with mac and pc and I have been able to put all kinds of stuff on disk. Its top notch.

failed after 3 months

Bought this burn a while back along with a 100 pack of TDK DVD record ables 16x, up to now not one has been burn but i had this long time sony blank laying around try burning it and it works i don't know minds must be bad cause it can't burn any DVD only SONY DVD so far; but it was good clear picture every thing

worked well right out of box. set-up was painless. is doing what its supposed to do. very pleased! supplier, tech for less, provided super delivery. unit was here in two days, priced right too.
