Can you use these shoes as a running shoe as well as hiking, or only hiking?

For me they are too heavy to use as a running shoe. I only use them for hiking. I use the Salomon SpeedCross and Wings Pro for running, depending on the surface. YMMV

How do these hold up in colder weather, or walking through snowy conditions?

They’ve been great for me! I’ve been wearing Salomons for 5 years.

They offer a some degree of warmth, but are more 3 season boot
