Beautiful canning jars that are perfect for my sourdough starter. The glass is nice and stout and is exactly what I was hoping for.

I’m in my sourdough era, and had previously placed my sourdough starter in a smaller jar I received in a sourdough kit that was just way too small. An influencer inspired me to look into these Weck jars, and I’m certainly glad I did. The functionality of these jars are just SO much better. They’re tall, have a wide mouth on them, and they’re just so perfect for my sourdough starter home. I don’t personally seal the jars, I just use the lid over it and it works so well for my needs. These jars have exceptional quality, they’re heavy, the glass lid itself has some weight to it. They’re really easy to clean and I regularly swap my starter between these two jars only. Definitely a requirement if you’re in your sourdough era! (Pictured - before and after jar of what came with my kit versus the Weck jar - ahhhh so much bigger and better.)
