Great light and portable monitor and the price did not break my piggy bank. Bonus - it came with a monitor sleeve. Temporarily, I had to leave my home office space (with my wide 40" monitor) for an onsite 7 hour meeting. I needed a method of visually interrogating large spreadsheets and information. A 13-14" laptop screen would not suffice. I found the Viewsonic 17" (flicker free) monitor with a nice price. It is a great addition to my road warrior kit. I use the laptop screen and portable monitor to span across large spreadsheets. The set up worked great. Definitely, cut down on eye fatigue!

This lightweight screen is versatile and easy to use. The monitor has hi-resolution and is as big as my laptop screen. Great value! It’s been very convenient to throw in my backpack for out of state travel or cross town trips alike. I’m a fan of the case it comes with an options for cords. Please note that only has one half of the length as a stand. Works for me, but may not work for everyone.

Excellent choice and best decision for my arts needs. Screen is perfect for my C4D VFX animation style. It’s perfect size for my desktop. Great value. I do not use it for sound, but I am sure the quality is probably very good.

I own three of these monitors—two for myself and one for my wife—and we've been using them for over two years now. We originally bought them for travel, and they've proven to be an excellent choice for working on the go. Here's a breakdown of what I like (and what could be better) about these monitors: Portability & Power One of the best features is how compact these monitors are. They are super lightweight and portable, making them perfect for travel. They connect directly to the USB-C port of your laptop, meaning no additional power adapters are needed—provided your computer can supply enough power. On my MacBook, I did notice that I have to keep the brightness at a lower level to run it off USB-C, but there is a power cable included if your device can't supply enough power. It’s nice to have that flexibility. Image Quality As for the image quality, this is a standard 1080p monitor, which is perfectly fine for everyday work, browsing, or even watching videos. It's not going to blow you away with vivid colors or high-end graphics, but it's solid for general productivity. The built-in speakers are also functional, though don’t expect amazing sound quality. They work in a pinch, but I tend to use external speakers for a better audio experience. Design & Build The built-in kickstand is a nice touch. It lets you adjust the monitor’s angle, but I personally prefer using a separate fold-up stand to lift the monitors a bit higher for a more ergonomic setup. It’s not a big deal, just a personal preference. Durability & Reliability After two years of daily use, I haven’t had any major issues with the monitors. I recently bought a second one to match my setup, and while it arrived with a line of dead pixels, the return process was hassle-free, and the replacement monitor works perfectly. I was impressed with the quick and easy customer service. Conclusion Overall, I would definitely recommend these monitors. They fit my office setup perfectly and are incredibly convenient for travel. The flexibility of having them plug straight into my laptop without needing an extra power supply makes them a great addition to my mobile workspace. I’ll continue to use them for the foreseeable future and would not hesitate to buy more if I need them.

This worked really well as a second monitor. It comes with a case so it was easy to store without worrying about the screen getting damaged. I love how compact it was as I needed it when working remote. It fits nicely in a backpack and doesn’t take up a lot of space. It’s easy to use. Hooking it up was super quick, just a few cords. The brightness on the display was nice, I never had an issue of it being too dark. Overall this is a great monitor.

There is no actual warranty. ViewSonic claims that it has a 3 year warranty but does not cover monitor that are damaged by regular use. I carried this "portable" monitor in a carry bag with my computer. I never dropped it but it was damaged from merely carrying it in a carry bag. I submitted under the warranty butmViewSonic did not honor their fake warranty.

This is the second ViewSonic VA1655 I have purchased. I like the size, screen quality and the fact that is lightweight and portable. I had previously had two old VGA monitors and it has a much better screen quality. The first VA1655 was connected to my Windows computer that had a spare USB-C port making the connection easy using the supplied USB-C cable for power and video. I just connected it and it worked. This VA1655 is connected to a Raspberry PI 5 (RPI5) which does not have a USB-C connection nor any audio connections. I purchased an UpBright 5V AC/DC Adapter Compatible with ViewSonic VA1655 from Amazon power supply. When I tried to connect the monitor, I discovered the monitor has a mini-HDMI and a USB-C interface and the RPI5 had a micro-HDMI connection. I found a mico-HDMI to USB-C cable on Amazon Seadream Micro HDMI Type D Male to Mini HDMI Type C Male Connector Adapter Cable Cord. After I connected everything, the monitor did not work. After a bit of troubleshooting, I discovered unlike my first VA1655 this one was not turned on. I turned it on and the videos worked. I then tested the audio and it did not work. I then found the user manual and found that sound was turned off. There is what ViewSonic calls a joy key which took a bit to understand. The user guide is excellent. It's a portable monitor. True 144Hz, colour isn't bad. Good for a bedside/portable setup, it's very light. Comes with a nice sleeve. Only downside is that the frame is not reinforced so any pressure on it will cause damage.

Works perfectly, image quality is good and the 144hz refresh rate is a plus. A bit flimsy buy for the price its good enough

I loved the three parrots for the logo on the casing. It's so beautifully from yesteryears design sensibilities. Btw the packaging that you will receive your screen in is a lovely briefcase style package with a handle and a large print across the package with those lovely parrots in full "HD". It's absolutely lovely! I'm using this beautiful monitor as a second screen for my laptop. And I can tell you that it is absolutely fantastic! The quality of the display is up to date to modern standards with a beautiful 360 degree viewing angle, sharp and high contrast pixels, and vivid colors! I am so happy with my purchase! PS You also receive a lovely padded bag! Absolutely brilliant for transport or for storing your screen while it's not in use. ViewSonic (and especially this screen) come highly recommended from this buyer!

Cheap plastic crap that's not worth the 320$ at all. And the usb-C connectivity from phone to the monitor would not work. I need to have both phone-to-monitor and power cable to monitor plugged in to see anything. Screen quality is below average and overall design is ugly.

For price, it is great. Picture quality is decent and build quality good. Prefer this to a no name brand.
