Hardy and fast sprouting
Purchased for small deer plot. Tilled up a narrow stripe of land but wasn’t able to get real deep. I tossed out a few handful of seeds and raked by hand. It was amazing how fast they sprouted. Plot looked great unfortunately deer found greener pastures to eat so I didn’t get any deer pics on the camera this year but the rabbits love it.

Used last minute - no prep - still came up!
I wanted to get something green growing in a last minute, late season food plot near a new treestand location. Under very not ideal conditions and dry weather, it still came up. I'll try it again this year with more time to grow and I bet it'll work great.

Seed
When to Plant: Winter Bulbs & Sugar Beets are very hardy and will germinate in drier conditions than other common fall food plot crops. However, some soil moisture is necessary, and is more critical than soil temperature. Ideally, plant Winter Bulbs & Sugar beets at least 30 days before the first frost date, in any of the planting zones. Not though an grow, so I thrown some out an we had a freeze 2 night 29 &30 they still shown growth hopefully they will root

I AM AMAZED HOW MUCH OF THIS IS GONE IN MY PLOT
WE HAVE SEVERAL PLOTS PLANTED DIFFERENT KIND AND THIS IS THE ONE THAT THE DEER ARE IN THE MOST. WEVE NOTICED THE DEER HAVE BEEN DIGGING UP TO GET TO THE BEETS/TURNIPS. NEXT YEAR I'M GOING TO BUY TWO PACKS OF THESE AND PLANT IT AND NOT WASTE MY TIME WITH ANYTHING ELSE.

Lots of growth but no deer.
This product created huge bulbs and growth.. not sure why but my deer didn’t touch them.. I ended up bush hogging and tilling it all in the spring. Going to try a clover blend this year. The plot looked amazing had lots of growth but I think here in Virginia the deer just aren’t used to eating this..

Deer Would Step Over Other Food For This Stuff
This product grew really well for me in Mid Michigan with an August Planting. Planted it in an larger area with other products, I did till and cultipack after treating ground with lime and fertilizer. Deer loved this product and grazed it hard but it provided food until the snow started. Will buy several more packs this year and plant a number of areas.

Follow the instructions.
Follow the instructions, and put lime and fertilizer down. These things just took off.The whole field looks like a salad! The deer are only nibbling some beets now, so it will be interesting to see what they do once frost hits.
