This is a useful book to reference when using excel and wanting to create macros and formulas. However I do find it's quicker and easier to Google anything I need and use copy paste!

This book is not worth the money. I already have a basic grasp of Excel self taught. Thee are some completely unecessary and overly long pages about what Excel is at the start. Basic, Intermediate and Advancec useage is poorly explained. There are typing mistakes and it’s really poorly printed with extra blank lines here and there. The easy walkthrough tutorials are not great. If someone was a complete beginner this book would be a waste of time in my opinion. I gave it to my partner who is a complete novice who wants to learn excel and they described it as gobbledygook. I’m looking for an alternative and a way to return this book if there is a way to. I’m baffled by the 5 star reviews this book has.

Excellent

The text is littered with spelling mistakes, and there sections where the writing is so confusing that it's hard to discern the meaning. It doesn't seem to have had the benefit of an editor, or even a proofreader. The book itself has lots of blank space, large chunks of copy-pasted examples, and is printed on cheap paper. There seems to be much less in the text than previous Excel books I have owned. Very disappointed, and feeling ripped off for a book that I would have been able to write better myself.

It’s a decent book but not enough content to justify the price

This book will not help you master excel. The printing is poor, with lines down the page like the printer was running out of ink. Most of the book has very simple explanations and uses most of the book saying this is a toolbar, this is a cursor. Way overpriced.

All the pages are just photocopies off the Internet really not worth spending money on.

I was looking for a guide to learn how to use Excel at its best... I bought many books, but they were all without pictures (but how is it possible to follow tutorials without being able to look at them?!?). The few books that had pictures were of very poor quality, with formulas that didn't work. This book, on the other hand, solved my problems! All the formulas are perfect, the pictures are made with the latest version of excel (some parts are also made for older versions, good choice). It is perfect on both MAC and Windows. At this price it is the best book I could buy. Impossible not to like this book, the author was very clever to include an image for each formula or graph. Very simple for beginners! I highly recommend it

A good little guide to the updated Microsoft Excel

Great product for beginners and novice users. If you’ve used excel for years then most of the content you would know but if you’ve used it for less than 3 years it will give you new useful information.
